Bought, Borrowed & Bagged [228]: The White Princess

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, ongoing events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

In case I fail to greet you all HAPPY VAGINA DAY!!!
Whether or not you have plans, have a date, etc., be comforted that on February 15, candy is for sale and we all can indulge to our heart's content! Bam!

Big & Small

I am obssessed with the York-Tudor rivalry and so it shouldn't be a surprise that I'm quite excited to catch Starz original series, The White Princess, based on Philippa Gregory's hit book series, The Cousins War. The limited series will have 8 episodes and it will be available on the Starz On Demand, app, and to all the channel's subscribers. The White Princess will debut on April 16, Sunday. Check your local listings for the schedule.

Hailed by Harper’s Bazaar as “the feminist answer to ‘Game of Thrones,’” The White Princess picks up three days after the conclusion of The White Queen, as a new generation ascends to the throne in a tale of power, political divides, family, love, and betrayal. The White Princess is a gripping historical drama uniquely told from the perspective of the women waging the ongoing battle for the English throne: Lizzie (Jodie Comer), Lady Margaret Beaufort (Michelle Fairley) and Dowager Queen Elizabeth Woodville (Essie Davis).

  11. Awesome haul of books this week, SW. You know me, SW that I'm a sucker for anything Phillippa Greggory. Loved the White Queen, so I'm hoping it will be great. Also love the fact that Michelle Fairley aka Katherine Stark in GOT will be playing Margaret Beaufort.
