Bought, Borrowed & Bagged [227]: Hello 2017!

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, ongoing events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

WELCOME TO MY FIRST BB&B FOR 2017!
I realized it's been a month since I posted one as my book haul is slow, yay! My apptetite to hoard has been curbed and I'm hoping 2017 will be the year that my TBR and I will be (finally) in a healthy symbiosis.

And my sissy from another missy gifted me this. Thanks Lee (Rally The Readers)!

Big & Small

Who needs fiction when you have Trump as your president?! Let's be honest, (sadly) there IS some entertainment factor involved, his tweets alone is sure to ellicit some response from you. Don't even get me started with his cabinet nominees, my favorite has to be Betsy DeVos. OI! is the word!

That said, I can't wait for John Oliver to come back and start commentating on our country's current state of politics. Whether you agree with his views or not, you have to admit, his sketches are funny if anything...

  2. My sister gifted me a few books recently so I've got to get to those. My mom and I got her a kindle a year ago and she has all but caught up to me in terms of hoarding books. Her credit card is STILL smoking from her last shopping spree.

Don't get me started on politics. Lol, my blood pressure can't handle it.

  18. I can't wait for John Oliver to come back on the air. I've been watching Sam Bee and Trevor Noah. They are keeping me up on everything. I've also started watching a segment on Seth Meyer's show. I can't remember the shows exact name, but it is a late, late show somewhere. i watch his "A Closer Look" segments on YouTube. They are pretty good too.

Hope you have a great week ahead.
