The Graveyard Queen 2 & 3
2012 via Harlequin Mira
Urban Fantasy

Amanda Stevens' The Graveyard Queen series went on hiatus for FOUR YEARS. As I don't closely follow Amanda's updates (which I probably should starting now not just for her, but for all the authors I love), I thought that the series got cancelled or something like that. The Visitor is a surprise and since I've already forgotten a lot of the details, I decided to reread The Prophet and realized that I failed to post reviews for it and The Kingdom too. So without further ado...

Naughty Nooners with Anne Calhoun & Laura Griffin

I had a busy weekend prepping and celebrating Easter with family and friends that I barely had time to read properly with a full-length book for a good amount of time. But I had to feed the beast and these two novellas were the perfect compromise at the time.

Naughty Nooners: Make Me Forget & The Affair: Week 1 by Beth Kery

I've read Beth Kery some time last year and Glimmer and Glow wasn't the best series to acquaint myself with BKery's tale. So I thought I'd give her books another glow with these two serialized novels. MAKE ME is her latest and part 1 will hit the e-stores on April 5, while THE AFFAIR was published two years ago, it hit the best seller hit and is loved by many romance readers.

Steampunk Sundays: Changeless by Gail Carriger

Series: Parasol Protectorate 2
Format: Mobi
Release Date: April 1, 2010
Publisher: Orbit
Source: Puchased
Genre: Steampunk

Alexia Maccon, the Lady Woolsey, awakens in the wee hours of the mid-afternoon to find her husband, who should be decently asleep like any normal werewolf, yelling at the top of his lungs. Then he disappears; leaving her to deal with a regiment of supernatural soldiers encamped on her doorstep, a plethora of exorcised ghosts, and an angry Queen Victoria.

But Alexia is armed with her trusty parasol, the latest fashions, and an arsenal of biting civility. So even when her investigations take her to Scotland, the backwater of ugly waistcoats, she is prepared: upending werewolf pack dynamics as only the soulless can. She might even find time to track down her wayward husband, if she feels like it.

CHANGLESS is the second book of the Parasol Protectorate series: a comedy of manners set in Victorian London, full of werewolves, vampires, dirigibles, and tea-drinking.

Yes, I'm just getting acquainted with the sultry, Alexia Tarabotti-Maccon, and her handsome Alpha werewolf hub, Conall Maccon, and their crazy and usually sexy, adventures. Book 2 of Gail Carriger's Parasol Protectorate took me to Scotland where I met the older Sidheag Maccon (Finishing School) and the rest of Conall's old pack. There's a lot of issues in Scotland from pack politics, family issues, assassination attempts, spies, and a slew of other stuff ranging from lover's quarrels, elopements, unrequited love, and an unexpected pregnancy.

What they don’t realize is that there are older and more dangerous forces than shifters and vampires protecting the land that belongs to the Others—and those forces are willing to do whatever is necessary to protect what is theirs.
