Bought, Borrowed & Bagged [226]: #RogueOne

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, ongoing events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Trying to get a head-start on my 2017 TBR with these goodies! I missed out on a lot of great releases this year, but no way am I going to pass these babies up!

And my sissy from another missy gifted me this. Thanks Lee (Rally The Readers)!

Big & Small

I'm a Star Wars fan, but not a super fan. I watch the movies, know the main players, versed a little about the myth and cosmology, but there's a lot of the universe that I don't know. Since Disney acquired the rights to the franchise, Lucas' epic space opera has expanded some more. With Rogue One hitting theaters this weekend, a few of you might be like me, wondering where the story fits in the timeline especially as the cast of characters are new to a lot of its mainstream followers. This article might help you get caught up.

Recap

Bought, Borrowed & Bagged is a laid-back meme, please use your LABEL OR TAG LINKS and not your post links that way you don't have to update your linky every week.

  5. I'm hoping to see Rogue One Wednesday as a reward for weeks of home renovations. I don't know a whole lot about the franchise but it looks good. My hubby can fill me in on the rest lol

  6. Rogue One is so awesome! No worries about "when" this story takes place because it is evident when certain characters appear. I love the ending!

  10. I think I only got a few 2017 new releases so far. I hope you'll enjoy Rogue One. I am a star wars fan as well, I have seen the movies and even some of the animated series. It will be interesting to see what Rogue One adds to the universe.

  11. Oh, good picks for your 2017 review commitments. The Gail Carriger looks interesting, too. I just read the first of her Parasol Protectorate this year.

I'll be seeing Rogue One soon, I think. I was so curious how it fit in that I had to go looking it up. Fun choice to go back and cover that time and adventure. I'll not give it away in case others want the surprise of discovering the answer from the movie.

  12. I can't wait for The Turn!!! Of course, I have the final book in The Hollows to read as well. ;) As for Star Wars...well, I watched the original three and then last year's installment. But not sure how I feel about Disney taking over the franchise. My kids want to see Rogue One - I told them they could go without me. :) Have a great week, Braine! *mwah*

  14. I'm not a SW fan but the Mister is. He actually popped in all the movies and watched them over the last week. He explained the timeline to me and while I don't understand the time-line jump he explained that it's just a way to tide people over and make money while they work on the next movie in the series. We may see it in theaters but more than likely we'll just wait until it comes out on Netflix. LoL
