Bought, Borrowed & Bagged [204]: Chaos Walking Movie #PatrickNess

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged

This post came late today. I finally broke my Schwab cherry and I was unable to leave the couch til now. Like I have errands and my body wanted to move and get going, but my brain is too absorbed with Kell and his Londons that I have to finish A Darker Shade of Magic first if I want to accomplish anything of worth today.

The big pretty I won from Lexxie of Unconventional Book Views
and the rest are egalleys.

Big & Small
This may not be news to fans of Patrick Ness' Chaos Walking series, but ICYMI, Lionsgate/Summit is going to adapt the YA hit series. No firm news on this atm, from the press release, they're planning to start production early next year for the first book and if it's a hit then the next two books will follow suit.

I haven't read this series and I'm unfamiliar with it so if you're a fan of Chaos and Ness, what are your thoughts on the matter?

Recap

Bought, Borrowed & Bagged is a laid-back meme, please use your LABEL OR TAG LINKS and not your post links that way you don't have to update your linky every week.

  1. I do have that series, but I can't get into the writing. I guess I'll just wait for the movie to come out.

    Happy reading, B!

  3. I'm not a fan of Patrick Ness and I hated the dog cruelty in the first book so I stopped reading it. I don't think anything much could tempt me to watch a film based on it!

I've only read The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Ness, and I really enjoyed it. Maybe I should pick up some of his other books as well?
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.

  11. I wonder how many more of these dystopian YA's to movies they're going to try. They seem to be having mixes success now. Whatever they do - don't split the last book into two movies lol

  14. Great haul! Do not make me go and pop my Schwab cherry, because that book has been staring at me for a long time. I'm just not in the mood for fantasy/magic right now. I hope you enjoy all of these!
