Tom and Meggie have been best friends forever. They’ve been in love with each other for almost as long, but neither one has ever admitted it to the other. Now they work together at the Plush Life Toys, the company Tom started where Meggie is the head of sales.

Meggie’s engaged to Mark, a successful doctor, but she’s having serious second thoughts. However, before she and Tom can talk about it, they get a strange offer from their make-or-break client – go to New Orleans and convince the head of the powerful Family Mart megastore chain that Plush Life is the right kind of company to be one of their vendors. The only catch? Family Mart is the poster company for family values, and Tom and Meggie have to be married or they won’t be approved.

Meggie can’t tell Mark why she has to cancel their weekend plans because Mark doesn’t like that she and Tom are friends. What Meggie and Tom don’t know, though, is that Mark is aware of a secret that affects Meggie’s life – and he and his friends will do anything they have to in order to ensure Mark gets to marry her.

Now Tom and Meggie have to figure out their feelings for each other while trying to keep the eccentric head of Family Mart believing that they’re happy newlyweds. But when Mark and his friends get involved, they put Meggie’s life and sanity in jeopardy, and only Tom, a street thief, and the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans are going to be able to save Meggie from the devil himself.

PLUSH LIFE, by author Gini Koch, is a standalone romantic suspense novel that tells the story of two best friends, Meggie Meyers and Tommy Reid. Tommy is the creator of Plush Life. In fact, one of his very first creations, Quirrel, was made for his best friend after she had a really awful time of things. Meggie is Plush Life's VP of Sales. She's smart, beautiful, but has a painful past that has kept the two friends from being much more. She is also engaged to a real prick and loathsome jackass by the name of Dr. Mark Tanner.

Now, they face the challenge of a lifetime when one of their clients, Mr. Yamamoto, claims that a mega-store is interested in adding the Plush Life line to their stores. The problem? Family Mart is looking for a couple with a solid marriage, maybe with some kids, and oh, did I forget to say that Tommy and Meggie who aren't married need to be in New Orleans stat? And, they need to prove to Killian O'Rourke that they are, in fact, a happily married or they have no chance at getting the contract.

Tommy and Meggie draw up a plan that happens during the time when Meggie's fiance is trying to cause a permanent rift between the two. He makes outrageous and dangerous allegations about Tommy that are so over the top, that you can't help but want to throttle Mark to an inch of his worthless life. On top of that, Meggie hasn't a clue that Mark has plans to elope and force her into marrying him without any of her family around to witness the ceremony.

So, on a wing and a prayer, Meggie and Tommy choose to pose as a married couple and fly to New Orleans without letting anyone know where they are going, or why. After all, when an opportunity this huge comes up, nobody can it turn down. It can also give Plush Life the push it needs to move into other things while going head to head with some major competition. Did I say that this story takes place in the most awesome place in the world, New Orleans?

Yep! New Orleans is home to the eccentric and over the top CEO Killian O'Rourke and a variety of diverse characters, including one very interesting voodoo priestess. It is the place where all the players end up, including Meggie's family. It is the place where Meggie will come face to face with her past while being kidnapped by Mark. She will also come to terms with the fact that she's been in love with Tommy since they were both 15 years old.

Can the two best friends find happiness, romance, and survive Mark's machinations, Killian's tests, and backstabbing by the competition? Will the real reason that Mark wants Meggie be revealed? Tune in and find out!

Author Gini Koch is the bestselling author of the Katherine "Kitty" Kat series which I absolutely love. In fact, if you love a bit of science fiction, mixed with a kick-ass heroine who once used a pen and hairspray to kill aN alien monster, then you will love Kitty's story. PLUSH LIFE takes the sexy level above and beyond anything that you may read about in Kitty's series. For me, I am not overly fond of pages and pages of smexy, but I am sure that those who are into romantic suspense novels will love it. My one complaint is Tommy's use of baby every 5 minutes. STAHP!!! While I have no problem with cute names, more than a dozen times in one story is way too much.
