Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged [199]: Samuel L. Jackson

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged

I've been greedy...

Big & Small

I saw this cool article counting down the 15 Highest Grossing Actors of All Time. The list is a cool combo of A-List leads, supporting, and character actors. One can have the looks, awards, etc., but it's Samuel L. Jackson who's laughing his way to the bank. Oi!

Highest Grossing Actors of All Time #1: Samuel L. Jackson
Box Office Total: $5.832 billion
Highest-grossing film: The Avengers – $623.4 million
Lowest-grossing film: Meeting Evil – $525
Other notable films: Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace – $474.5 million; Jurassic Park – $402.4 million
Trivia: Jackson has appeared in a starring role or an uncredited cameo in six of Quentin Tarantino‘s eight films, which have combined for over $550 million.

  1. Wow, my head is spinning! There are a few actors that I would almost expect to turn this sort of profit on their craft, but Samuel L. Jackson took me by surprise. Good on him! :) All I can say is I (and my wallet) will continue to show up for every new Avengers adventure. In fact I can't wait for Captain America - Civil War! :)

    1. He's been smart and lucky with his choices. He's very rarely the lead, but he has been in a lot of blockbusters. He's a very rich man that's for sure

  2. Wow about the actor thing! I totally would not have guessed! I would have said something like Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston! Interesting fact, thanks for sharing :D

    1. Maybe there's a separate list for women, I thought they'd be included too, but I think they only included, literally, actors.

  3. Samuel L Jackson doesn't really surprise me, he's been in a buttload of movies and all those commercials he makes too.

  6. I hope you enjoy your books. Samuel L Jackson has been in more movies than anyone else too, I believe. He tweeted out that the Hateful Eight was his 200th movie. Fitting that it was a Tarantino film.

    1. He is very unpredictable, I don't want to be the person assigned to interview him. Have you seen that poor Aussie who he forced to say the N-word? Awkward!

  10. I'm excited for the Library book! It sounds like a lot of fun. I'm very curious to hear your thoughts on the Elle Kennedy! I didn't like the first, but I'm thinking of giving the second a shot, if there's a bit more plot.
And woahhh!! Where did Samuel L. Jackson even come from in this list? Haha! He's clearly slaying! Good for him!
Have a great week, Braine! :)

    1. You will love Kennedy. It has too much sex for my taste, but she made up for all the sexin' towards the end. Threw me off for sure, it's like she sneaked up on me
