Naughty Nooners: Make Me Forget & The Affair: Week 1 by Beth Kery

I've read Beth Kery some time last year and Glimmer and Glow wasn't the best series to acquaint myself with BKery's tale. So I thought I'd give her books another glow with these two serialized novels. MAKE ME is her latest and part 1 will hit the e-stores on April 5, while THE AFFAIR was published two years ago, it hit the best seller hit and is loved by many romance readers.

Make Me Forget | Make Me Serial Part 1
Romantica | Intermix | April 5, 2016
Goodreads | AmazonBarnes & Noble

Very short introduction and a good sampler of what's to come... Pun intended. Yeah, it got heated very fast by the second chapter or so.

Right off the bat you kinda know what Make Me is going to be about: A vulnerable girl, a mysterious kinky billionaire with a past, one is going to submit to the other's dominance and it's going to be a sexy yet contentious story. I'm naturally curious and eager to peel off the layers while wary at the same time. It seems Harper and Jacob have met in the past and for some reason, Harper doesn't recognize Jacob. Interesting right? Enough motivation for me to keep reading and learn what happened there and if Jacob is out for revenge of some sort. I like Harper so far too. She's a strong woman from the looks of it and I hope she doesn't bend to Jacob's will as she falls for him. Yeah, I'm sure these two are going to end up together with lots of drama along the way.

You've Tantalized Me | The Affair Serial: Week 1
Romantica | Intermix | September 16, 2014
Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble

Yet another bored young attractive kinky billionaire preying on a young impressionable vulnerable woman. You've Tantalized Me moved fast and gave the impression that this is going to be a hot read with lots of power play and dominance. I am not liking thete possibility that I just met another one of their clones. This said, I'm curious enough to read Week 2 and I'm hoping this won't be one of those types of erotica... Shades and monochromes and all.

  1. I find the covers a little cheap, but the stories look enjoyable at least. Not extraordinary, but like quick entertaining reads. :)

  2. I've wanted to read one of her books for a while. Knowing my forgetfulness, I may have one on my Kindle.

  3. I feel like I'm over rich, perfect looking people looking for a kink. I'm not opposed to it all all - It's just that I've read it so many times and meh. I want more variety.

    1. Exactly! I'm waffling about The Affair, then again it was one of those on-trend erotica when it was released. Make Me has a mystery element to it, hopefully it develops into something substantial.

  8. I was introduced to Beth Kery and serials via her Because You Belong to Me serial. Serials are hard for me though - getting just a little bit and then having to wait. I'm impatient, I guess! *ha* I'll wait to see what you think of all of them...and then read them once they're all out! LOL

    1. I feel you. My trick with serials is I read them when I'm in some sort of slump. Helps me get through it sometimes

  9. I'm curious why she doesn't remember him, too. Curiosity makes me pick up so many books. :)

  12. Oh, you made me chuckle, Braine. I've had more than enough of bored, sexy, young, hunky billionaires! Like really? You can't find a way to enjoy life when you don't really have to work? Oh my goodness, I'd not have any trouble having fun at all :)
I'll wait to see what you think of the rest of these, and then I'll decide whether I'll pick them up or not :)
    Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  13. I wish I could get into serialized novels. Even though I'm kind of over the kinky rich guy/ young shy heroine troupe, I could always get back into them! I hope The Affair isn't just another clone. That would be disappointing!

  14. Eesh. Neither of these sound good to me. I guess, thanks for reading them so that I don't have to? LoL I have nothing against the whole billionaire thing but I need an original story. These just sound like the same regurgitated story that we've all read a million times already.

  15. Why are billionaires tend to be kinky? Not gonna lie, I do adore them. Lol.

  16. I'm probably with most of the team here when it comes to billionaires - just seems overdone, but I am a little curious as to the lack of recognition, too. Great reviews!

  17. Hm... I'm thinking not for me. I've not been able to really get into the billionaire nor the serial thing. :p I'm hoping the serial tuns out good for you.

  18. I've read some serials I like and some not so much but these look short and fun. Thanks for the great review Braine!

  19. I just can't get into most of these serial things. I do like hers as Bethany Kane though I think she abandoned that pen name when she started writing in serial form :/
