Bought, Borrowed & Bagged [193]: I Was Away...

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged
I came home to this big pile of books from Thomas Nelson!
And that's a wine glass charm from Stacey Kennedy. Thanks lady!

I Was Away...
Hey guys! I'm sorry if I was MIA the entire week, I was in Chicago sightseeing and met up with family whom I haven't seen in over a decade! The trip was long overdue so when I found the time to visit, I jumped at the chance. I will definitely go back, my visit was too short and there's so much to see and foods to try! I like Nashville but it's nothing like the hustle and bustle of Chicago. I didn't realize how much I missed walking around a big city and now I want more!

I'm now back to regular programming, to those who stopped by the posts, THANK YOU! I will catch up and ensure that I will return the visits moving forward.

Recap

Bought, Borrowed & Bagged is a laid-back meme, please use your LABEL OR TAG LINKS and not your post links that way you don't have to update your linky every week.

    1. Oh gosh, thankfully we didn't visit this weekend! Things are tense over there now so that would've ruined our visit for sure.

I hope you get to check it out, it's a really beautiful city and so very diverse. I can walk around all day and just marvel at the buildings and other nooks and crannies the city has to offer

    1. I'm glad I went last week instead of this weekend! It would've been a bummer to not see the city because of the protest/riot! And yes, I love the city, it has an old world feel to it still. I can walk around all day just staring at the buildings and other eye candy

  8. Glad you had a wonderful trip. I have never been to Chicago. I would go for the food. Of course, I would like to visit Nashville someday as well.

    1. There's not a lot of places to see here in Nasvhille, it's literally Music city so your best bet is to bar hop. Now Chicago, I love the city! So many cool spots

    1. Okay, I need to look that up and it was windy! I checked the weather and though I'd be fine because the temps are similar to here. I didn't realize it'll be much colder because of the wind chill factor. Eep!

  17. Speaking of Chicago, you should try to go back in May...when they will hold BEA...where we can finally meet. Teehee. :D

  21. Yay! Glad to hear you had a fun trip. I've never been to Chicago but I have to admit, I'm more of a quite country person rather then a busy city atmosphere. Although, I've heard their pizza is completely different from what I grew up with in NYS.

  22. I'm so happy you were able to go to Chicago to catch up with family, Braine! It's important to take the time to do things like that :) I'm glad to know there's a lot to do, as well as good food in Chicago, as I'm counting down to BEA :)
Have a wonderful week ahead and enjoy your new books.

    2. Yep, it is! I'm still trying to see if I can make it for a day or two. It's only about five hours from me so MUCH easier than NYC, where I have to fly to get there. haha

  23. A Wine Glass Charm? Never heard of that before. Nice haul! I have Bright Blaze of Magic pre-order, although I'll have to read the second book first before I can read that one.
Sounds like you had a great trip to Chicago visiting your family! I prefer the smaller places, but there's something about to be said about a big city as well.

  24. That's awesome you were able to visit Chicago and see family. I really want to go back. I went years ago but I was just off crutches with a fractured ankle, so all the walking was NOT good. haha Looks like you got home to some awesome books though!
