Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged [188]: #Superbowl50

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged

Big & Small

I'll come clean. I don't know SHIT about football, or any contact sport for that matter. Like why fight over one darn ball, get hurt in the process, when you can get your own?! LOL
BUT I love checking out the players and their juicy butts. Plus there's the commercials and half-time show feat. Cold Play, Bruno Mars, and Queen Bey.
Which team are you rooting for?

Recap

Bought, Borrowed & Bagged is a laid-back meme, please use your LABEL OR TAG LINKS and not your post links that way you don't have to update your linky every week.

  3. I've heard good stuff about Reign of Shadows.

I might catch some of the Superbowl. I don't usually get interested unless my team is in. But the 'show' stuff is cool.

    1. I don't pay attention to the actual game although last year's was exciting as it went on overtime. I hope it's as good this year

  4. I hope you enjoy your book. I do like football, but I'm not that big into the pros. I think because my team is the Browns and they have been horrible for years it is hard to follow it. I do love college football and watch it way more often. I'll be rooting for the Panthers. I like Cam Newton. He is such a nice guy. I love his enthusiasm and after every touchdown, he finds a kid in the stands to give the football to, which is sweet. I've disliked Peyton ever since he was a college player. I guess you could say that I hold a grudge. I don't think the commercials are as good as the used to be. I do always look forward the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials every year. Hope you have a great week.

    1. You know more than I do.

Bud always has fun commercials even if their beer sucks.

  5. I LOVE football and you are so right about their juicy butts. LOL It's not as funny as golf, which I play and think I look ridiculous doing it. I am rooting for Bruno Mars. LOL I love him. But...seriously...this will probably be Peyton Manning's last year and he is the old guy, so I would love for him to walk away with a win. Cam Newton will have plenty of other opportunities, but I am afraid this is their year. Now, if New England was playing I would have to go with Tom Brady. Love the studly Michigan player. :-) Anyway...I hope everyone has a great day whether you watch or not. And don't forget the Puppy Bowl!

    1. Yeah, if this is Manning's last year, I hope he goes out with a bang!

I look forward to the half-time, Cold Play isn't my top pick for it, so it would be cool if they surprise us in a big way

  8. Dragon Soul, ooo very nice. I still need to read the second book in the series first. I'm behind. So many great books.
I do enjoy Football and Soccer, maybe go to a Baseball game every now and then. I'll be watching the game today. I do enjoy the commercials they show!
Have a fabulous week and Happy Reading!

  9. I'm not a big Cam Newton fan, but I'm definitely cheering for the Panthers to win. This is his year to shine and a whole lot of simple minded people hate to see him do his thing. I'm watching at home, but my boyfriend and his family are having a SB party. I've been hugging the porcelain throne since yesterday, so I'll pass. I've not kept anything down. Have a great Super Bowl Sunday!

  12. I love watching football, but since my team is not in it, I don't care about Superbowl. There are some wonderful looking football players... You got some wonderful books this week. I hope you love all of your new books.

  19. Great book haul this week, Braine! The Hurlyburly's Husband looks interesting. As does Reign of Shadows. And seeing Jessica Lemmon on there reminds me I *must* read her Bad Boys series! As for the Super Bowl...well, I was rooting for Denver, naturally. But honestly, I read during the game and didn't see that much of it. We watched as a family though - and thought the Doritos commercials were the best. As was Bruno's and Beyonce's appearances during halftime. :D Have a great week!!

  23. My team wasn't in the superbowl this year. But we watched it to see what all would happen. We like sports here, it helps us get our aggression out. ;) lol. We were a bit disappointed in the commercials this year. Well, now that we think about it, we've been disappointed the last few years.

Hope you are having a great week!

    1. Yeah, the commercials were a letdown and the game wasn't as exciting as last year's. Cam Newton's reaction is priceless though. Hahaha
