Twenty years weren’t enough for either of them to forget.
A chance encounter, a missed connection.
Two wayward stars that collided in a turbulent sky, at the right place, but at the wrong time in both of their lives.
What happens when they meet again? Do the same unforgettable sparks still fly?

Titan Jennings and Jesenia Van Buren may come from two different worlds but their hearts are open to second chances. No matter who or what may stand against them, love is what anchors their lives together.

Love may be infinite but time is not, Missed Connection is a novel about making the very best you can with what little you’ve got.

MISSED CONNECTIONS is like Nicolas Sparks rewrote the movie Serendipity. It's sweet, romantic, hopeful, tragic. Gah! I should've known Mara White and K. Larsen isn't going to be nice to my hopeless romantic heart!

So like the blurb, Jess and Titan met twenty years ago in a cafe. It was one of those chance encounters where the stars aligned and the other person basically captured the other's heart in that exact moment. But the circumstances weren't right so they separated and moved on with their lives, had their families. Meanwhile the memories of that night continued to haunt both parties.

Now in their forties, Titan decided to poke the universe and went searching for Jess. It's the most romantic thing, writing to this mystery lady whose name he doesn't even know. The love letter went viral and reached Jess who is currently a Senator's wife and the host of a popular podcast. There were a lot of moving parts in between, yet they found a way until they finally have the slate clean and became a couple. I promise there was no cheating involved as I know a lot of you don't like that

The romance is very easy, meant to be, Titan and Jess are how you imagine soulmates to be and it's evident in their easy cammaraderie, their chemistry unbroken despite being apart for twenty years, even their kids blend seamlessly! MISSED CONNECTION is a good story of what it's like when two people are meant to be, when the universe conspires for two people to be together. I was swept away by it all, fell in love with these two and the love that they share. Like Titan and Jess, I can't wait to live their HEA with them.

Then BAM!

My heart is broken. I'm in tears. It's unfair!

There's a funny/corny twist at the very end which I personally think was unnecessary. But aside from that minute detail, Titan and Jess is sure to tug your heartstrings hard.

  1. Oh it sounds really emotional. Tears...? arghh. I don't think I know about Serendipity, I'll try to see if we have something in French regarding that

    1. Well the title should give away the story sort of... I hope you catch it. It's a really good movie!

  2. Holy...I should have known with the Serendipity and Nicholas Sparks references, shouldn't I? You had me, Braine. This sounds incredible and the further I read into your review, the more I was thinking I wasn't going to be able to stop my one-click finger. And then BAM. You know I don't shy away from emotional. And I suppose if you handled it, I can. But I think I'll have to wait a few weeks until I'm not sure a emotional storm before I make myself an emotional storm. *haha* Great review!

  4. I love the idea of soul mates reconnecting after all these years, Braine. I was worried when you mentioned she was married to a Senator, but thanks for clearing up that there's no cheating. It sounds fantastic and emotional so I'll add it to my TBR!
    Lovely review, Braine!

    1. Yeah, I make sure I put that disclaimer out there because I know a lot of readers have cheating as their hard limit. I don't want y'all turning this down because of that misconception

  6. This sounds good. I love second chance romances, especially in this case where they only knew each other very, very briefly but that moment in time really stuck with them. Sounds fantastic!

  10. I usually don't go for this kind of story, but I fell hard for Gayle Forman's Just One Day, which had the once in a lifetime chance encounter thing going on, so maybe this would work for me. Glad you loved it!

  14. Wow this one seems like an intense, emotional read! I admit, I'm not a big fan of Nicholas Sparks because sometimes my heart can't take it. (Petition to protect Aila's heart? Lmao) But this one sounds so sweet. Great review!
