Bought, Borrowed & Bagged [183]: New Year, New Linky

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged

Happy New Year!

No New Year's Resolutions for me blog-wise. I'm just going to free-flow it this year, I've been blogging for almost 5 years now so I think I can wing it. *wink*

As for challenges, I'll stick to Goodreads, I read 207 books out of my goal of 210. Not bad considering I had a major slump last year plus I birthed my new baby, November12. I'm keeping the same goal for 2016 and I hope I can meet it this time around.

Recap

Bought, Borrowed & Bagged is a laid-back meme, please use your LABEL OR TAG LINKS and not your post links that way you don't have to update your linky every week.

  2. Happy New Year! Clockwork Samurai looks really good.

I blew my Goodreads goal out of the water in 2015. I had set it 130 and ended with 168. I set 2016 at 155. I read a lot of novellas in 2015 and I plan to read a several horror novels in 2016 and they are pretty long, so I don't want to set myself up for failure either way. I thought 155 was a happy medium. Happy reading.

    1. Good job!

I read a lot of novellas, shorties, and a few DNF's so that 206 is kinda decieving. Then again that's why I set my goal high in anticipation for these short reads and DNFs

  3. I lowered my Goodreads goal from last year's 50, which I didn't make, down to 40 for 2016, lol. I just read The Dark Days Club and it was sooooo good- loved it! Hope it's an awesome read for you, too!

  5. Beauty and the Clockwork Beast looks good. Have you read it yet?

I always start with a lower Goodreads goal (100) and inch my way up. I'm a cheater lol I picked 120 for 2016 so the pressure is on!

  6. I didn't meet my GR Goal this year. I only read 107 out of 115 books. Plus I had a slump, so... This year my GR Goal will be 100 books ... That steampunk book looks really good.

  11. Wow! You read a lot of books this year. I didn't meet my goal either. There were just too many book slumps for me to be able to catch up. I hope you meet your goal next year. :)

    1. Me too, I got out of my slump when I started freestylin. I think it's all the pressure from the deadlines that burned me out. So none of that this year for me

  14. Yes, I think you've earned the right to 'wing' it. LOL. I am a list type so I don't think it's in my genetic make-up to wing it.

Nice list! Hope you enjoy Clockwork Samurai. I'll have to check out the Beauty and the Clockwork Beast one.

    1. Less pressure. Real life pressures are enough, I don't need my blog adding to that. This is supposed to be fun :D

  16. Happy New Year! I don't have a TON of big goals for my blog. I mainly just want to schedule ahead as much as I can, and try and reach out to more bloggers by visiting and commenting, etc.

  17. I barely met my goodreads goal when I fell into a reading slump toward the end of the year. I am a very goal oriented person though, so I love sticking to them throughout the year.
