This is my niece, Kirsten, my favorite girl, and my muse.
And yes, that's her artwork on the wall.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, SUPIES!
I can't believe it's already 2016 when 16 years ago we all thought the world is going to end. What with all the Y2K/New Millenium brouhaha, and yet we're still here (thankfully), rockin' and rollin' per usual.
I'm not going to go all wax poetic about my 2015. Succinctly The Year of the Sheep was a formative and transformative 12 months for me. There were a few bumps on the road but I believe my journey is getting smoother. *grins*

In the Filipino culture, we believe that wearing polkadots while ushering the new year will bring prosperity as it symbolizes coins (pre-paper money). This and we fill our pockets full of money and lots of coins to rattle when the ball drops. The money superstition is of Chinese influence and the noise the coins make are supposed to scare the evil or malicious spirits away. I'm sure it's pure BS, but it's fun and brings back a lot of great memories for me.
I'm taking a couple of days off to binge, drink, be merry, with enough time to recover from a possible hangover. I'll be back on Sunday.
Stay safe and I wish you a great New Year's Eve/Day and an even better 2016!
