November12: Boutonnière

Yup, I'm back to share more crafty stuff!

Let's talk boutonnière.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I like traditional, classic stuff. And the boutonnière is one of those "fancy" classic accessories that I love. The best part it's not just for men, women and children can totally make use of this to liven up any outfit. And it's not limited to weddings, or special occasions either, you can totally incorporate it to your OOTD, and I find it a cool alternative to the usual awareness pins, and the like.

The above photo are the more common boutonnière in this style. It's usually made of felt and are glued together to form the bloom.

The November12 version (of course I made my image bigger), is about an inch and a half in diameter, hand sewn, and made of fabric ribbons. And because the boutonnière is fastened with needle and thread, it's hard wearing and won't fall apart when you try to clean if off or even if you accidentally throw it in the washer. The cool part is I can swirl colors without any problem so if you're following a motif or want a few pieces to honor a cause, a team, or what-not, it's totally doable.

So if you're interested, these babies go for $3 each (negotiable if you're going to order in bulk). Email me at talksupe(at)rocketmail(dot)com if you're interested.

If not, thanks again for checking out this post. Also I will greatly appreciate it if you can share it via the share buttons below.

Happy Hump Day!
