Bought, Borrowed and Bagged [177]: Rowling & Her Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged

So a little anecdote (edited to clarify): I was super busy this week and was unable to put away my book mail. I opened my packages to see the books I got, but left it all in the envelopes and dumped it in my corner. My nosy Dad took out the contents of my JR Ward mail and put Blood Kiss on my shelf. The horror! Hahaha! I know his intentions were good, just wanted to help tidy things up, but I panicked! Seriously though,  I'm more upset over the missing two Hershey's Kisses that went with the book. Darn it!

Big & Small

Fantastic Beasts sees Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander coming to 1926 New York from England, for reasons they won’t disclose, with his trusty weathered case, a magical bag that is bigger on the inside and houses habitats for a number of magical creatures. In his travels, he discovers that American wizards are quite fearful of being outed to the public, who they call “No-Maj” instead of “Muggles,” and it’s in this wizard-phobic world that something happens causing Newt’s bag to burst open, setting free the magical monsters.

The David Yates-directed, J.K. Rowling-penned film also stars Katherine Waterston as Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, with Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Ron Perlman, Jenn Murray, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo, Gemma Chan and newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is being produced by David Heyman, producer of all eight of the blockbuster Harry Potter features; J.K. Rowling; Steve Kloves, who scripted all but one of the “Harry Potter” films; and Lionel Wigram, who served as an executive producer on the last four installments of the franchise. Rowling herself is supplying the screenplay.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set for a worldwide release in 3D and IMAX on November 18, 2016. Source: Coming Soon

It's a new year and there's a new linky for my humble weekly recap meme. Whether you're a return participant or a new hopper, THANK YOU for joining, your participation is much appreciated.

Also as this is a laid-back meme, please use your LABEL OR TAG LINKS and not your post links that way you don't have to update your linky every week.

  17. If my dad had opened my mail and discovered chocolate, it would have been gone, too. Totally get it! And if it's any comfort, if he's like my dad, the chocolate would have completely distracted him from figuring out what his kid was reading. LOL!

Nice haul! I got a few of those too. Enjoyed Veiled Magic so hope you do, too.

Didn't know about that show and now I want to see it.
