Delilah S. Dawson’s award-winning Blud series comes full circle as Tish and Criminy, stars of Wicked as They Come, embark on a sexy and harrowing final adventure in a world RT Book Reviews called “delightfully edgy with hidden charms.”

Ever since landing in the magical world of Sang and falling in love with dashing ringmaster Criminy Stain, Tish has been waiting for the axe to fall. Until her dying grandmother’s last breath on Earth, Tish can’t bring herself to give up her all-too human frailty and commit to life on Sang as a youthful, long-lived Bludman like her handsome husband. But when a peculiar twist of fate delivers Tish’s grandmother to Sang, an unexpected chain of events forces Tish and Criminy to embark on one last wild adventure. From old friends to new and into the lair of terrifying enemies, the couple’s love and longevity will be pushed to the brink by each harrowing encounter. Is blud thicker than blood, and can Tish and Crim find their wicked ever after?

Oh boy, but what a treat WICKED EVER AFTER is! I thought Delilah S. Dawson's carniepunk series, Blud, ended in Wicked After Midnight so you can just imagine my delight when I got the surprise book 4 in the mail.

WICKED EVER AFTER tied up the series very well. I think I'm not the only one who loves it when a couple we've grown attached to lets us in on their happily ever after. Tish and Crimminy are okay, albeit with some minor (that turned into major) snags: Tish is aging real fast, she'ss yet to be bludded (or get turned into a vampire), and she's still shuffling back and forth between Sang and Earth to care for her dying grandma. Thanks to an effective potion, Tish brought her grandma, Ruby, over to Sang, got turned into a Bludwoman, but the transition was far from great.

To cut the story short, Grandma Ruby is a big pain in the a$$ and she definitely got under my skin. The whole thing was just frustrating because Tish was sort of looking for gratitude from Ruby for saving her life and wanted them to become chummies; at the same time, Ruby was a biotch and didn't want to have anything to do with Tish. What kind of grandmother wants their children to thank them for birthing the child's Mama?! Wow! There's  also another big twist regarding these two's family tree which ties up Tish's conflict with the witch who stole years from her, Hepzibah.

Overall WICKED EVER AFTER is a fantastic closure novel with cameos from previous couples and other beloved secondary characters. The storyline regarding Ruby annoyed me, but that only proves how effective the writing is, and how affecting the characters are. The ending is not altogether happy, but I actually like that because it's realistic and at least there's closure, and Tish and Crimminy as a couple are living a full life. Now I know I'm not the only who who's hoping that there will be more books or maybe a spin-off? The Blud world is rich and I'm sure it still has a few tales in it that's worth telling. Here's to hoping DDawson's Blud muse will whisper new tales in her ear so us fans can continue to enjoy reading about this world.

  12. It is important to handle these funds responsibly to abstain from confronting quick payday loans defaults and misconduct. Flippant treatment of these accounts let you to tumble down in the endless loop by taking out the new loans speculation to pay off the past loan obligations. Taking out new loans for paying off the past obligations may turn out to be entirely costly to oversee. Here are a things' percentage that the candidate may consider to turn out the horrendous payday loan cycle.
