Bought, Borrowed & Bagged [173]

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged

Still going strong in my "purge".

PSA
Hey guys!

Sorry I've been remiss with my blogger duties. Experiencing some sort of slump-laziness for the past few weeks. It's been a slow progression and I just want to ride it out. I'm still reading, it's the writing up the reviews part that's putting me off atm. So expect a few round-ups and summary posts in the coming weeks. Better that than nothing right?

Happy Sunday!

Recap

It's a new year and there's a new linky for my humble weekly recap meme. Whether you're a return participant or a new hopper, THANK YOU for joining, your participation is much appreciated.

Also as this is a laid-back meme, please use your LABEL OR TAG LINKS and not your post links that way you don't have to update your linky every week.

  1. We all go through slumps. I'm going through one at the moment, because I'm not posting as much either, but I need to deal with RL stuff as well. Sometimes we have to take time for ourselves, so don't feel bad. SW, take time for you every once in a while.

    1. Funny you mentioned it. I used to feel guilty, but now that I've been doing this for 4.5 years, I realize the importance of vacations, even if it's virtual like this.

      Thanks, SW

    1. Glad to have you participate. Thought I'd help out Heidi since she also got busy with RL stuff. It's been fun! I just wished I had more events. Unfortunately my October's been booked since August :(

  4. Lots of bloggers going through slumps right now. Don't push and don't stress, your mojo will come back. Writing reviews can be a struggle for sure.

Happy reading and have a good week!

  5. Going through a slump myself, pretty sure mine has something to do with the baby turning into a hyperactive toddler lol! Just don't have much free time right now :) I still want to though, so I'm going to post when I can and that will have to be enough for now.

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

    1. Oh lawd, I don't envy you! They can zap your energy quick. Like 12 hours with them kids feels like 24 hours of no-sleep!

  6. Don't force yourself. Your mind tells you it needs a break :) I had several this year. Just was too busy and tired to write reviews.

    1. Thanks, Joy, I guess the slump is helping it. I have zero appetite for more books of late.

  9. Definitely a lot of people going through slumps right now. When I do I resort to binge watching TV LOL, but in all honesty, it does help. ;)

  10. This month has been a slump for me too. Been doing some re reading more than usual. But I think I am back on track. But it tends to happen usually before the cold weather hits. Have no idea why.

  11. I'm loving the Something Wicked Rises event. It's so fun!! :)

Sorry you're in a slump. :( Those are always tough. I just realized I was in one myself a few weeks ago, but I'm coming out of it now and ready to read ALL THE BOOKS again! Hope you get out of your slump soon too. :)

  14. It sucks to be in a slump, Braine! But I think you're right to just ride it out, so that you don't get completely burned out by blogging. I miss you, but I completely understand.
    I hope you'll have a wonderful week.

  17. You are doing good with your clean out. And bummer about the review slump, but at least you're reading. I get in the mood where I don't want to stop and write up a book or I feel like I have absolutely nothing to add about it. Hope your mojo returns soon.
