Bought, Borrowed & Bagged [170]: Something Wicked

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged
I am proud of myself because after 2 years of not going, I finally paid my local library a visited and borrowed Night Broken, The Diviners, and Half A King. I bought Mind Games for 99c, and bagged Cinco de Mayhem and Mercury Retrogade from Edelweiss.

Something Wicked: Message from Ali

This is the fifth year of Something Wicked, and I am thrilled to once again be bringing you spooky reads and book treats. Wicked is a tiny bit different this year, instead of an entire month, Wicked will run for two weeks only: October 19th-October 31st. Don't think that because the event is shortened, we will be scrimping on the good stuff. The two weeks promises to be packed with terrific reads and fabulous treats.

I am delighted to be hosting Wicked with two wonderful and lovely ladies. Ali @My Guilty Obsession and Braine @ Talk Supe will be along for the Rise of all things Wicked.

For those of you who are new to Wicked, you are in for a treat.

From October 19th-31st we will be featuring paranormal/ spooky/ Halloween type reads on our blogs daily along with either an author guest post/ interview and/ or a review along with a giveaway.

You won't want to miss a day.

If you are interested in participating in Wicked, you can feature your own post on any date during the two weeks. For your own post you must host a giveaway for the book you are featuring and do either a guest post/ interview or review. If you would like to join in, email Heidi@Rainy Day Ramblings (rnydayramblings@gmail.com) and I will be happy to add you to the schedule.

Grab a button or banner for your blog below. A huge thanks to the wonderfully talented Veronica @Mostly Reviews for once again designing some amazing buttons and banners.

  1. Woo hoo! So glad you went to the library! I had been avoiding it as well and now that I finally went this year, I have no idea why I was! Plus, we have a wonderful selection of digital books to read and you can check those out from home which is awesome!
    Congrats on all the books!

  2. You got some great books from the library. I see a few that look too good to pass up. That Something Wicked looks great. Jasinda Wilder is going to be at Lady Jane's Salon this monday, which I just found out. I have only read one book by her and loved it. Have a lovely weekend.

  6. Your new acquisitions look yummy and are completely unknown to this lowly blogger, so I'll be keeping an eye out for the reviews :) So sorry I can't participate in Something Wicked. October is Hub's most busiest travel month, and I'm swamped in domestics :/

  7. Woohoo on going to the library! I think I've only gone once this year myself- been trying to tackle some of the books on my own shelves before loading up on library loot, lol. Can't wait to see what you think of The Diviners- I thought it was pretty scary in parts, and it's perfect for a Halloween read!

  15. Go you! visiting the library! I love going to the library but kinda feel guilty when I do because I have so many books at home that I should read. But I'd really like to read Half a King so I'm looking forward to seeing what you think - and I just might have to borrow it from my library. :) Wicked looks like a fun event!
