Connor McClain knows what he wants. And after four harrowing years in Afghanistan, that's a quiet life in the lakeside town of Evergreen Cove. But coming home has land mines of its own-the most dangerous of them being long-legged bombshell Faith Garrett. Now getting her into his arms this holiday is going to require more than mistletoe . . .

With a cheating ex behind her, all Faith wants is a relaxing holiday free from man drama. And even though every moment with gorgeous Connor is a sweet temptation, Faith is determined not to give in. But Jack Frost has other plans, and soon Faith and Connor are snowbound in a winter wonderland with only the sparks flying between them to keep them warm. As one hot kiss leads to another, they'll have to decide if they're ready to give each other the best gift of all-love.

Christmas came early and I have to thank Jessica Lemmon for that. A BAD BOY FOR CHRISTMAS will get you in the mood for all sorts of things, especially cupcakes smothered with wine infused chocolate ganache. What is up with the food porn in my reads lately?!

Back to the story!

I've met Faith and Connor in the previous books which made it easy for me to get attached to their HEA as I'm already partially invested in their characters. Faith is a girl you'd love to hate: looks like a model, eats like a horse, and she credits it to her fast metabolism *huffs*. She has mommy issues though not to mention she thinks she's cursed and bound for singlehood. As for Connor, guy's a vet, has moderate PTSD, very protective, and has a wicked green thumb. It's also worth mentioning that his skills extend beyond the garden bed. Dude's got magic hands. *winks*

If you're following my blog, you'd know that I'm a big fan of this series, Second Chance is a series that will make (hopeless) romantics swoon endlessly! Cupcake and Beefcake... errr... Faith and Connor are such a great couple it's hard not to fall in love with them. These two has a certain need about them that the other managed to supply perfectly. JLemmon also did away with unnecessary drama so the conflict was realistic and relatable. I love everything about A BAD BOY FOR CHRISTMAS and I suggest you pick it up and treat yourself to an early Christmas present as well.

Jessica Lemmon has always been a dreamer. At some point, she decided head-in-the-clouds thinking was childish, went out, and got herself a job . . . and then she got another one because that one was lousy. And when that one stopped being fulfilling, she went out and got another . . . and another. Soon it became apparent she'd only be truly happy doing what she loved. And since "eating potato chips" isn't a viable career, she opted to become a writer. With fire in her heart, she dusted off a book she'd started years prior, finished it, and submitted it. It may have been the worst book ever, but it didn't stop her from writing another one. Now she has several books finished, several more started, and even more marinating in her brain (which currently resides in the clouds, thankyouverymuch), and she couldn't be happier. She firmly believes God gifts us with talents for a purpose, and with His help, you can create the life you want. (While eating potato chips.)

  8. Nice Christmas read - I can already see myself curling up with a big mug o' hot chocolate by the fireplace... Of course, this would be happening in an alternate universe, where I would have a house to decorate, a houseful of family to feed & entertain, and huge birds to stuff... Lol, Xmas is pretty hectic around here :D

  21. I love mentions of food in books, although it sure makes you hungry! I got my first christmas book form netgalley this week, so I am looking forward to read that and get in the christmas feel early. They sound like great characters and like they make for a great couple. Oh and I like the sound of no unecessary drama. I am all for a realistic conflict. Great review!
