Bought, Borrowed, 'n Bagged [166]: Hellboy, Miss Peregrine, The Avengers

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Big & Small

  • There's a HELLBOY III?! Gasp! it's not definite yet, and yes, Ron Perlman will reprise his role if it moves forward, and it's going to be apocalyptic! Now the stars are older so I'm kinda wary about this, but Del Torro is in the helm so I think they can pull this off.

  • Tim Burton is directing MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN (3.4.16). Weee! The movie still doesn't have an official trailer, but the cast includes Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Chris O’Dowd, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Kim Dickens, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson. Pretty star-studded right?

  • And here's to kick off the long weekend (here in the U.S. anyway)

Recap

It's a new year and there's a new linky for my humble weekly recap meme. Whether you're a return participant or a new hopper, THANK YOU for joining, your participation is much appreciated.

Also as this is a laid-back meme, please use your LABEL OR TAG LINKS and not your post links that way you don't have to update your linky every week.

I haven't read the Miss Peregrine book, but from what I've heard of it, Burton is the perfect director for it.

  20. I'm glad you shared the info on the new Tim Burton movie. Love to see movies like this! I'm a little iffy on Hellboy coming back after all these years but may have to give it looky see. Looks like you snagged a few goodies - kudos! Hope your week is fab! Hugs...

  21. I can totally throw $15 at a Hellboy 3!! I loved those movies. I love your books this week, too! NOW I'm putting together who Karen Kincy is. I own that series you just picked up but I've had it forever on my Kindle - bad me!!

    Have a great week!

  22. I have Shadows of Asphodel myself - hoping to get to it one day soon. ;) I'm also curious about The Misadventures of a Playground Mother. I'm not one anymore but I bet I could still get a few giggles from the stories. LOL Leah Raeder...have you read her before? She's on my radar. I've really been wanting to pick up something from her. Can't wait to see what you think. As for the movies...I have to admit to watching Hellboy #1 my last year of college - when I was dating my now hubs - and it totally creeped me out. Not sure I could do #2 or #3. LOL But Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine...now *that* I'll go see! ;)
