Reunited with family and friends, their journey continues as they navigate a dangerous world where secrets threaten to destroy what they hold the most dear.

Passion and love

Tony and Claire turn up the heat as sparks fly, passion rages, and love prevails. With only a dark glance or devilish grin, the fire that sparked in an isolated suite, continues to burn. Learn once and for all the identity and fate of the sender of the Rawls-Nichols letters as you join the Rawlings for a special surprise!

Theirs was a long, complicated story with a monster and a knight. What made their story unique was that these two players were the same person.—Aleatha Romig, CONVICTED

I simple love after HEA novels especially if it involves favorite characters like Claire and Tony Rawlings who've been through hell and back and are now living a semi-charmed life. BEYOND THE CONSEQUENCES by Aleatha Romig was originally a novella and I'm so glad she decided to expand the story and turned it into a short novel, I'm sure fans of the series will definitely enjoy this treat.

So BEYOND THE CONSEQUENCES happens a little after Revealed. Claire and Tony have rebuilt their lives, everyone's healing in their own pace in their own way, and there's peace and harmony not just in the Rawlings household but within their circle as well. However there's a little glitch in Heaven, I can't say much about it because I don't want to spoil anything, there's some looney who think/feels it knows the situation because it read Claire's exaggerated biography therefore it wants to save her from Tony, I purposely used the word "it" to throw you off. In addition to this, I'm expecting this beeyatch to be back, I just wish her storyline was more developed because I do love crazy and this one is capital C.

Despite these shadows following Tony and Claire's peaceful existence, BEYOND THE CONSEQUENCES isn't as dark and intense as the previous books and novellas. It's sweeter and more romantic, Tony and Claire wears blissful marriage well and I adore their daughter, Nichol, very much! What I love most about this novel is the possibility for expansion. Through the series we've met several characters that endeared themselves to me and with each book that released, their roles have grown more and more and I sure would like to get to know them better. I'm hoping that ARomig will consider a spin-off series and feature a few of the supporting characters like Phil, Eric, Emily & John, and even Meredith or Courtney. They're as fleshed out as the main ones and Phil in particular is practically begging for an HEA. Fingers crossed ARomig grants my wish.

Anyway, this is a rich and wonderful addition to the series and seeing Claire and Tony live out their happily ever after to the fullest was a definite treat! If you're a fan make sure you don't miss BEYOND THE CONSEQUENCES.

  7. I don't read too much contemporary romance, but this sounds like a good story, especially since it focuses on the same characters throughout. Great review Braine. I might check this out when I want a change from PNR/UF!

  9. oooh! I love HEA's!! This one sounds good... but I've never read anything by ARomig. I'm tempted to pick up the first novel, but I haven't been much into contemporary romance...my heart is calling for gritty, and heartbreaking... oh and some UF. lol. But I dunno... adding to my TBR and hopefully I'll be able to love these as much as you! Great review, girly!

    2. Finally!

This series didn't start as contemporary romance, more like dark psychological thriller. So you're in for a wild ride.
