Suped Up: Soul Enslaved by Keri Lake

Series: Sons of Wrath 3
Format: Mobi
Release Date: December 5, 2014
Publisher: Self
Source: Author
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Imprisonment in Obsidius. Enslavement to a soul-sucking succubus. A reproductive cycle that’d send a sex fiend running into the arms of celibacy. Given the choice, most demons would opt for death.

Gavin, eldest son of Wrath, has been sentenced to all three.

When the succubus decides its time collect, though, he fears his nightmares have only just begun.

And Sabelle’s timing couldn’t be worse.

With a bad case of uncontrollable lust, thanks to his Savidon, the last thing Gavin wants is a vengeful succubus stoking his darkest desires, but debts must be paid—he just didn’t bank on enjoying his punishment so much.

Because the swinging bachelor may have found his perfect mate in the sexy seductress.

However, just as things seem to be looking up, past sins resurface, plunging the two into a deadly game of power and deception. As their worst fears merge into one unexpected threat, Gavin is determined to protect Sabelle and win her freedom.

At any cost.

I'm shitting glitters and rainbows right now because reading SOUL ENSLAVED by Keri Lake felt like I ate a chocolate covered unicorn and now I have warm fuzzy feelings with a bit of an ouchie, the horn is poking my heart a little bit.

I know I'm not making sense, SOUL ENSLAVED messed me up and I don't have powerful coherent thoughts to dish out right now. I have the mothafrackin' feels so bear with me a little bit as I try and make this comprehensive for y'all:

Hi Keri!

So thanks for coming through for us and publishing Gavin's book despite some minor hiccups. I still don't know if I should love or hate you for SOUL ENSLAVED... I think I feel both... I mean is it so hard for you to just be nice to us and not gift us with a backhanded HEA? I appreciate the way Gavin and Sabelle worked out their shit so things felt natural but does it really have to be bittersweet like that?? Smh.

Anyway, don't take it the wrong way. You know I love you and you also know I love Gavin more. Once again BIG THANKS for SOUL ENSLAVED, I not a promiscuous book girlfriend and Gavin is part of an elite group in my little world. Thanks for not fucking up his story, I really appreciate you taking the time and writing such a beautiful love story that is so swoon worthy. I feel the love!!

XO,
Braine

Gavin, My Love...

This is hard for me, breaking up with you because I love you very much. However I love Sabelle too and it's bros before hos you know? So I have to move on and let you do your thing, hopefully our paths would cross again in the future.

Now before I go, I want to let you know that you really blew my mind here (SOUL ENSLAVED) not to mention you owe me a couple of knickers because you just about melted the pairs I had on while reading your stupid (it's not stupid) book! Sabelle was on the money, you made my ovaries pop, drop, and sing like the boss that you are! I mean I'm a single mom myself so I know how Sabelle felt when she saw you with her kids not to mention you going apeshit and martyr at the same time for your tazschla.  Totally hot!

Anyway, it pains me a little bit to say this but you got quite a catch and I'm sure you know it. Don't mess it up okay?

Love,
Braine

P.S. I still think about our date two years ago...

Sabelle,

You won, you got the guy so don't be hatin' on me now. I have to admit, my claws were semi-retracted and my eyebrows were up to the holy heavens when I heard Gavin likes you. I mean a succubi? Really?!

Anyway whatever pre conceived notions I have about you went to the dogs. Not only are you a bombshell, you are a female VERY deserving of Gavin. I'm sorry to hear about your shitty mom, shitty adolescence, shitty new adult life, if not for your super adorable twins and super cool sister, Denya, I'm sure you would've given up a long time ago. So big props to you for staying strong for them and more importantly, you rock for making Gavin EARN you.

And even if Gavin is the neon light at the end of a very long, dark, and bumpy tunnel, I'm so fuckin' sorry that our friend, Keri, had to throw one more curve ball your way. I know, I want to shake and strangle her too but as she's the almighty creator here, let's trust that she knows what she's doing and she has every plan to prosper you and Gavin.

Anyway, miracles happen and as you're closer to it than the rest of us (Hello, Daddy with wings!) I'm sure lightning will strike again. Also please take care of Gavin, I fancied myself in love with that demon and I'll hunt you down and end you myself if you do something even remotely close to what that bitch, Jessica, did to him.

Love lots,
Braine

Okay, so this isn't a conventional review but as I officially have a book hangover, I don't think I'll be able to write even a mediocre feedback regarding this book for a while so I hope you'll forgive me for going all heart this time around. It's just I've been looking forward to Gavin's book with a big dose of nervous excitement because Gavin's boyfriend and I want his book to be the best Sons of Wrath there is. KLake delivered 1000% and I wouldn't want it any other way. I took my time with SOUL ENSLAVED, savored every morsel, felt every emotion from the good to the bad, envisioned every heart wrenching/pounding scene because I don't want to miss a thing! It takes a very special book to make me slow down and experience every word, I'm a "New Yorker" when it comes to reading and SOUL ENSLAVED made me stop and smell the proverbial roses.

Now this series is on the same zip code as the much revered Black Dagger Brotherhood and I'm not saying that because I want to hard sell Sons of Wrath to you. It has the same vibe, it gives us that sense of friendship and brotherhood Ward's series has, the men are huge and formidable but turn into lovable cats when it comes to their females. Lastly, the Sons like the Brothers will make your ovaries and uterus sing in chorus because you want these huge mofos to impregnate you with their gorgeous babies! So make sure you have extra undies around when you start the series.

    1. Just to warn you, Fallen's tone is VERY different from the books, it's the series' Styxx/Acheron so you have to read Soul Avenged after.
