How was y'all's weekend?!
Mine was busy and super fun as I had a big group of friends and family that came to town for an annual event. Lots of booze, food, reminiscing, and laughs were involved hence my MIA status.
Sorry if there was no BB&B this weekend, I decided to take a little break from blogging, do a mini reboot but I promise things are going back to normal starting today.
Which brings me to the purpose of this post. So I posted a help wanted ad last week and I finally found new friends who are willing and excited to review with me!

All things Sarez!
I am a busy mum to five kids and almost permanently have my head stuck in a book. Reading while managing the kids and a busy household is my superpower.
I have a passion for words and will read anything I can get my hands on and completely agree that ebooks are the greatest creation ever! I love holding a book in my hands but the ability to one click has put my reading obsession into overdrive.
I read across many genres but my among my favorite titles you will find contemporary romance, erotic fiction (although I need a good storyline to keep me going), new adult, young adult, historical fiction, paranormal and supernatural, and urban fantasy. I haven't gone as far as aliens or zombies but I am learning to never say never.
What are my top three author/series/book picks.
Kristen Ashley: This woman is a phenomenal author and covers so many genres. I so far am yet to discover a book of hers that I haven't enjoyed. My favourite from all of her works would be her Fantasyland series. These books include everything; witches, dragons, modern day characters in worlds that are entirely different from our own, almost as though they are from a past time. Her words are simple yet captivating and a go to author for me.

Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon: Diana's book are rich with historical detail and she has based much of her stories around actual events and people. I love that it encompasses everything I love to read with its depth of history, time travel, loch ness monsters, magic and a romance that spans 200 years, two lifetimes and great sacrifice, plus it has men in kilts and Diana writes so that I can hear the Scottish accent which only makes the books more endearing. She wrote in such a beautiful way that I fell in love with Scotland and her characters and I am constantly rereading all the books but most especially the first one.
Kresley Cole - Immortals after Dark: Valkyries, werewolves, fae, demons, sorcerers and vampires. There are currently fourteen titles in this series and I love them all. The way all the stories and the characters interconnect is incredible and there is so much going on in the background. If I had to say anything about these books it's that I wish I could unread them just to experience the joy in reading them again for the first time.
I can't finish the list of my top picks without including a special mention for Pepper Winters. This woman has such a way with words that even though she writes dark romance there is something beautiful about her books. Even the most unreedemable becomes redeemable once she works her magic. She tortures her characters as well as her readers byt will always give you a HEA that suits the book and the characters. Sure I need a dose of fluffy and sweet once I am finished but her characters stick with me long after the last page has been turned. Not only that she is one of the most humble people I have met and is a beautiful soul. She is a constant inspiration to me.
Again, THANK YOU for helping me spread the word about looking for co-reviewers and look out for Melissa & Sarez's upcoming reviews!

ReplyDeleteHello ladies!
ReplyDeleteThe Stand is my all-time favorite book! I love end-of-the-world books and that one is the best! The miniseries was awesome, too--although watching it now, it's very dated and cheesy. I heard they're making it into a feature film right now.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Braine on finding your blogging soulmates. Haha. And AHHHH! I'll love these girls! Kristen Ashley fan?! Woot! Woot! We'll get along awesome!!! =))))
ReplyDeleteYup, excited to get things started!
