Bought, Borrowed & Bagged #118 + Fall TV

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Big & Small

Fall officially starts next week and I am excited for a few reasons. I love the cooler weather, the somber mood, and crave the smell of pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I enjoy taking long walks especially when the leaves have turned colors, I love scarves, tights, and tall boots. More importantly, Fall TV IMO is the best. Here are some of the shows that I'm looking forward to next week:
  • SLEEPY HOLLOW 9.22 - Oh I've missed Ichabod Crane!
  • HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER 9.25 - Viola Davis + Shonda Rhimes = Gripping & Fantastic TV
  • SCANDAL 9.25 - Gladiators unite!
  • GOTHAM 9.22 - Origins story? Yass!

As always, please check your local listing for the sched & don't forget to load up on your favorite snacks!

  1. The Younger Gods and The Affair are on my wishlist, Braine. I haven't tried Beth Kery yet, but I think I might like her :) Enjoy all!

    1. Me too, The Affair is a serial so it's a good taste test for me. I can always stop without having to commit to a full read if I don't like it.

  2. I grabbed Out of Control, Sweeter than Sin and Caged in Winter too. I'm not familiar with the others so I'll look forward to your thoughts on them.

  3. You got some really great books this week, Braine. I want to read Sweeter than Sin :)

And I have a question for you... what is a label link? I saw that my link from last week was still here, but that went directly to my BBB post for last week, so I changed it. However, I have no idea what to do so that it will work for next week, now.

Have a spectacular Sunday, Braine :) Happy reading.

    1. The label link is what you "tag" your posts like "book review". So for example if you use BBB as a specific tag, it should come up on your post (it's in the bottom in my case before the comments section) and that "label" link is what you use so when we click you on the linky, it will show us all of your BB&B post.

      I hope this helps!

  7. I'm looking forward to checking out Gotham, too; must remember to set DVR. Have you been keeping up with Outlander? I was bummed to find out that the mid-season finale is already next week! I've become addicted to that show and will have to find something else to fill the void it's leaving for a while, lol.

    1. I used to watch Revenge on Netflix, then it felt too soap opera for my taste and stopped.

  16. I'm super psyched for this fall's TV line-up! The previews for How to get Away with Murder have been awesome, and Gotham is a clear winner too. Not to mention the 10th season of Supernatural, and of course The Walking Dead. I'm never going to leave the house, and I'm totally ok with that.

  19. Looks like you hauled in some great books. I picked up The Affair since I'm such a serial slut lately. :) Oh, and what did you think of How to Get Away with Murder?? You know I don't watch t.v. but while in Texas, I saw a lot. I saw the advertisement for this and it looked really good.
