Bought, Borrowed, & Bagged #115 + AHS Freak Show

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

I am looking for a little helping hand so if you or a friend is interested, you may find more info here.

Big & Small

I love freak shows! I'm my own freak show sometimes so AMERICAN HORROR STORY is getting a lot of love from me!

Newcomers include Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, John Carroll Lynch, Finn Wittrock and Patti LaBelle. Sad that Taisa Farmiga isn't on the list, hopefully we'll get her back next year.

  1. Good selection. It's going to be interesting to see how Patti Labelle fits into this season. I love her. You got a nice selection of books. Love the AHS trailer. You can't always have everything.

    1. I know! Almost every season it's reported that JLange won't be coming back so I'm glad they gave her a raise so she'll stay. Plus ABassett was stellar in Coven! I hope she stays.

    1. It's in Netflix I think and every season is a different arc so you don't have to watch all. My favorite is still season 1, Murder House.

  6. I stopped watching AHS during the second season, but I hope you enjoy the new season. I didn't realize there was going to be a 4th Weird Girl book, I thought the series had ended. :)

  11. Nice new look for your blog, Braine! Sorry I haven't visited for awhile, but it rocks! :) Excited that you got Wickedly Dangerous and keeping fingers crossed that it's good. I really want it to be good, because it's based on Russian mythology :) Enjoy all!

    1. Thanks and I understand you've been busy... yup Baba Yaga should be an interesting base myth for this series. I hope they lay it easy on the poor blokes that got cursed.

    1. Hahaha at least you know you're not the only one with that kind of a book problem. My thing about weekly book hauls is I get greedy, I want to get what everybody's getting.

Hey kitchen tables are great, add some food or desserts to make it sweeter ;)

  15. Ally loooves Evan Peters from AHS, and we got to see him at the Tampa Bay Comic Con a few weeks ago. I'll have to remind her about the season premiere. She's been trying to convince me to start watching it, but I'm too much of a wuss, I think, lol.

  18. Wickedly Dangerous looks interesting, and boo I was expecting a much more appealing trailer for AHS, I felt it was kind of lacking. I will still be watching though, the other series had me hooked like crazy.
