Love's Encore

Contemporary Romance

In one reckless night, Camille Jameson's life was changed forever: a tall, handsome stranger, an evening of romance -- and enough regrets to last a lifetime. Two years later, Camille is a successful interior decorator with the opportunity to restore one of Mississippi's proudest plantations. She arrives excited and eager to face her greatest professional challenge to date -- until Zack Prescott saunters through the mansion's front door and back into her life. He is exactly as she remembers, except for the knowing look in his eyes that reminds her of what they once shared. Now, forced to live in unbearably close quarters, Camille and Zack will discover if they have the courage to face the past -- and, perhaps, build a future together . . .

Hi Sandra! Thanks for stopping by today to talk about Love's Encore. Can you tell us more about LOVE'S ENCORE?

Sandra Brown: LOVE'S ENCORE is a reissue of a classic romance I wrote many years ago. The universal appeal is, of course, love conquers all – even stubborn characters. At its heart, LOVE'S ENCORE is a 'reunion' story with a marriage of convenience thrown in for good measure.

I miss classic twists like this. What's your favorite scene/line from the book?

Sandra Brown: The wedding scene in the hospital!

Okay, cool! Can you share with us 3 trivial behind the scenes anecdotes in the making of LOVE'S ENCORE?

Sandra Brown: Sadly this is the downside to having written 70+ books! LOVE'S ENCORE was written many moons and many researched books ago!

What are you working on right now? I JUST finished final edits on MEAN STREAK (Aug 19, 2014) and am mulling over how to encapsulate a 400 page novel into a 45 second book trailer. This is made even more challenging by the fact that MEAN STREAK is a difficult book to sumarize!

Last book you've read and a quick one sentence review of it. A Duke of Her Own by Eloisa James – WONDERFUL!

What book do you recommend readers to try before they die? How in the world could I name just one? If I had to, I'd have to say my own RAINWATER.

We all have our fave genres, what's your least favorite? I read…EVERYTHING so I really couldn't say.

As you're in Talk Supe today, who is your favorite paranormal character of all time? ET! Does ET count? Or maybe Stephen King

Sandra Brown is the author of more than sixty New York Times bestsellers, including DEADLINE (2013), LOW PRESSURE (2012), LETHAL (2011), TOUGH CUSTOMER (2010), SMASH CUT (2009), SMOKE SCREEN (2008), PLAY DIRTY (2007), RICOCHET (2006), and CHILL FACTOR, all of which have jumped onto the Times bestseller list in the number one to five spot.

Brown began her writing career in 1981 and since then has published over seventy novels, bringing the number of copies of her books in print worldwide to upwards of eighty million. Her work has been translated into thirty-four languages.

Brown holds an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Texas Christian University. She served as the president of the Mystery Writers of American in 2012 and was named ITW's Thriller Master for 2008, the top award given by the International Thriller Writer’s Association. Other awards and commendations include the 2007 Texas Medal of Arts Award for Literature and the Romance Writers of America’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

  1. ET totally counts! Love him. I will have to look up Rainwater now. So intrigued.

  2. Thanks for the nice interview. I'm so impressed that you write so many books, wow! I keep hearing great things about Eloisa James and I know I'll have to try her one day. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Yeah, 70 books, she and her muse must be exhausted. Or not!

  3. Hahaha..Et counts and Stephen always writes himself in so it's a stretch but maybe..LOL

    1. I'm going to keep ET on the alien bracket. Stephen King is a different matter

  4. Yes! ET totally counts. And I love Eloisa James too :)

  5. Love's Encore sounds pretty good, Braine, I haven't read Sandra Brown - and she's a neighbor of my aunt & uncle! :) My aunt loves her books.

    1. Oh cool! Maybe you can meet her one of these days

  6. ET counts in my book! Sandra Brown was my go-to author when I was reading predominantly contemporary romance. Now that's not my main genre, but I still love her books :D
