Bought, Borrowed & Bagged #99

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

This is so difficult to listen to. If you've read Acheron  or even Zsadist's (BDB) book, this is worse! Oh my heart & my ears!

Big & Small

It's been a long time since I've read a Nicholas Sparks novel, his most recent books isn't as good as the older ones. I hate to say it but it feels like he's selling out with almost every novel getting adapted in the big screen.

You guessed it, yet another Sparks novel, The Longest Ride, is scheduled to hit the big screen Spring 2015. I haven't read The Longest Ride but from the blurb, it sounds similar to his hit, The Notebook in that there's a flash-forward thing going on, two love stories are told side by side. Not sure if it'll be the same person living and telling the story but I'm sure someone dies along the way LOL. Have you read this? What did you think?

  1. OO Nicholas Spark does alright with his books making it to the screen. I have to read Jennifer Estep series, too. I have started the Sherrilyn Kenyon series, but I gotta a whole lotta books to read to get to Styxx. Dang! I have heard Acheron's book is a good one.

Lovely haul of books matey xxx

I have been a bit quiet as my kidlets used 201GB this month and we only allocated 200GB so cyberspace is paint stakingly slow for me at moment. I had to click on your link , go do some grocery shopping, come back so I could comment. But should be good by Monday sometime. School holidays , the kidlets were obviously having some downloading fun. Makes my life a bit difficult at moment :D

    xx

  2. I'm only up to Dark-Hunter #9 or 10, so I've got a bit of a way to go even to Acheron's book, which I'm dying to read. I'm on the waiting list at the library for the new Chronicles of Nick book that came out last month; there were quite a few people ahead of me, so it's going to be a while until I read that one, too, lol. Have a great week, Braine!

    1. I think Styxx would be easier to read than to listen to. At least when you read it's one dimensional, when you listen the crude parts pops out.

  11. Oh Sparks, yes he tends to write the same thing over and over

  12. I was lucky to avoid Sparks, Piccoult, and all those sappy mainstream writers. Is that bent and judgmental of me? Yeah, probably. But I can only take so much reality :) And then to write it FOR the audience... UGH. I'm with you on that!

Ah, you reminded me I need to get back to Dark Hunters!!! Thanks!! Have a great week!
