Bought, Borrowed & Bagged #96

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

Big & Small

Ann Brashares' THE HERE AND NOW has been a popular book in the book review blogosphere lately and readers really loved Prenna James and her fantastic adventure story. Fans of the book will be pleased to know that Alcon Entertainment and Alloy Entertainment bought THE HERE AND NOW's screen rights! Exciting right?!

I'm sure you're familiar with both entertainment suits as you've most likely seen their company logos in several movies. To share a bit of trivia & comfort these two film houses brought us Ann's other hit novel to the big screen, the one about about a group of friends and their magic pants? Yup, that one and both movies were great adaptations right? So followers of Ann Brashares can rest easy that THE HERE AND NOW's in good hands and that it'll be adapted accordingly.

  3. I recently read, but haven't finished reviewing The Here and Now. I can totally see this book as a movie. The only problem with books to movies is that recent ones have left me unsatisfied. Kind of curious why it is that I can't see your books again this week. Might need to think about a new browser :(

    1. Are you using IE? Sometimes it has a feature that won't let you see "unsecure" content

    1. Yup, I hope she does an omnibus for the spin-off too, those are the ones I really want to read. I'm behind Dannika's Mageri series as well but I love the quiet darkness of this one.
