Love It: Bared by Stacey Kennedy

Series: Club Sin 2
Format: eGalley
Release Date: February 10, 2014
Publisher: Loveswept
Source: Publisher via NetGalley
Genre: Erotica - BDSM
In a novel that’s perfect for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Stacey Kennedy returns to Club Sin with another wicked and wild tale of submission, seduction, and love.

At Las Vegas’s exclusive Club Sin, Aidan Knight is the Master, unleashing the erotic yearnings of his submissive lovers. But his dominant fa├žade conceals a devastating loss—something he instantly recognizes in his personally trained submissive Cora Adams. Sworn to unearth her secrets, Aidan uses his seductive skills to ignite her wildest desires until Cora yields to the pleasure she can find only with him.

Cora came to the BDSM club to act out her sub-and-dom fantasies without ever revealing the heartbreak that haunts her. But Aidan’s masterful touch is bringing her closer to the edge . . . and deeper into a world of control and surrender. He refuses to allow her to submit to any other man—nor does she want to. It’s a dangerous game they’re playing. For as they give in to passion, they must lay bare their souls for a love that could heal—and free—them both.
READER'S DISCRETION:
Due to the strong sexual content of the book, CLAIMED is recommended for readers 18 and up.

Ever since Christian Gray blew up the book shelves, erotica had a big resurgence and a lot of BDSM stories, good, bad and crappy, have invaded both physical and digital shelves and consequently, blogger inboxes. Personally, I started to get tired of redundancy of the tales, obscenely rich Alpha Doms meeting these meek unassuming virginal (NOT!) subs. The plots and taboo factor no longer excite or fascinate me. Well there's still a few exceptions but my enthusiasm for D/s romance stories has sure been curtailed and I've become very picky with my erotica reads. I want plot with my smut and Club Sin by Stacey Kennedy fit the bill perfectly.

I've been looking forward to BARED, book two of Stacey Kennedy's BDSM romantica, Club Sin, for a while now. Claimed for me was such a big hit so it was no surprise that BARED would be just as good, if not better, than its predecessor. For the Supies who likes tortured/broken Alpha males, Aidan Knight, one of Club Sin's Doms, will more than tickle your fantasies. Here is a guy who has major baggage that prevented him from pursuing his own happiness. His past gave him such a huge guilt trip it made him emotionally unavailable to any interesting party. The irony is, Aidan is so emotionally attuned not only with his feelings but with Cora's too. It's quite refreshing to read a man owning up to his shiz without emasculating himself. The thing with Aidan is he knows he has a problem it's just that he doesn't have a solution. He doesn't know how to free himself from the guilt he's been carrying in his heart for the longest time which paralyzed the growth of his relationship with Cora and stunted his ability to move on.

Much to the dismay and heartache of Aidan's long time sub, Cora Adams. For the longest time Cora's been trying to break down Aidan's walls and pursue some kind of relationship outside their D/s relationship. But as Aidan has issues, he wasn't really picking up on the signals and if he is, he's responding incorrectly. But I have to give it to my gal Cora, she didn't go all martyr over Aidan by trying to fluck him senseless, worship his body and offer herself to him for lots and lots of mind blowing kinky fluckery. No. Cora stood her ground and even made Aidan her hard limit! In the BDSM world, that a HUGE deal so Cora may be an obedient submissive but she's nobody's slave.
Only Club Sin, and Master Aidan, could give her the contentment she craved... "I'm tired of waiting for you and hurting. I thought I could heal you through love. I thought that would be enough..." ~Cora
BARED is a quick, sexy read and I love the emotional layers present in the novel. It was slightly frustrating at first to read Cora and Aidan do the cha-cha, sending mating calls that the other isn't picking up right. There were parts where I want to reach out and shake both of them because the tension was so tight it's unraveling me as a reader! But that didn't last for long because the plot moved fast and when it all came to a head, Aidan and Cora were very forthcoming about their feelings. What I love most about Club Sin is SKennedy understands the intimacy of a D/s relationship and she gave each sex scene a lot of heart. I didn't feel "dirty" after reading the kink, Aidan didn't give the impression that Cora's his property, she wasn't there for him to worship or defile, it wasn't even an option. He's there to worship Cora and give her happiness the way she likes it and the best way he knows how. So maybe Aidan is Cora's Master in the bedroom but she is the Master of her heart.

Sorry, that last line is sappy. I blame all the hearts I've been seeing around.

Hi Aidan & Cora! So happy to have you two here today. So are you excited for everyone to read your story?

Aidan: Excited? Well, if you like to watch others have sex, then yes, you’ll enjoy yourself immensely. And that always makes me excited.

Cora: <smiles> You’ll never hear me complaining about being watched by others. The more, the better.

Everyone's a voyeur so you're in good company. In a sexy way, how would you two describe BARED?

Aidan: Sex. Hot wax. Spanking. Anal sex. Nipple clamps. Flogging. Bondage. A power exchange between a Dom and his submissive who play with forbidden desire. Need I say more?

Cora: Is it hot in here or what? Okay, I’d add, Master Aidan. ‘Nuff said. Put him in Club Sin and with our connection that melts my bones and watch sparks fly! As Aidan always says, and which I wholeheartedly agree with, we make sex look good!

Ok that's beyond sexy. Off to more wholesome stuff, what surprises do you have in store for us in BARED?

Aidan: An emotional journey that I, for one, never expected.I’ve never said I was perfect and this past while I’ve learned a lot about myself – facing things I didn’t want to – but finding love is a journey. It’s real. It’s honest. We all go through ups and downs, and emotions are tricky and play with the deepest parts of our soul. But I have always felt that it’s what you do in those moments that define you. Let’s just hope I get things right…

Cora: A love story where you’ll see old friends and meet some new ones, too. Oh, plus Aidan’s mastery that will set any woman on FIRE! Our story is one of friendship and the fight for love. It’s of heart and soul, and it’s of unconditional love. It’s about accepting someone—flaws included. And it’s a journey of pain, heartbreak, which hopefully leads toacceptance and undying love.

True and I can't wait for the rest of the world to read your story on the 10t. So Aidan and Cora, if each of you were a sex prop, what would it be and why?

Aidan: <grins> A dildo, of course. If a woman plans to pleasure herself, I would surely like to be a part of it.

Cora: A flogger, for sure. It’s a beautiful thing when you watch a Dom flog his sub. And what can I say? I’d love to be held in the hand of a powerful man and used in a way to bring pleasure.

Beautiful answer, Cora. Aidan is so... typical <snort>. Can you tell us something about your partner that we'll be surprised to know?

Aidan: Cora is unselfish. She does for others before she does for herself. She simply has a heart that knows how to love someone and how to care for them. She is strong—the strongest person I know. She tolerates others imperfections and understands their pain, instead of being judgmental and demanding. She loves deeply. And she is special because of all of that.

Awww that's so sweet, Aidan. Cora?

Cora: He’s far more emotional than he’d like you to know. There are two parts of Aidan. The Club Sin Master who knows pleasure and who understands a woman’s needs. He’s in-tune with his submissive. He’s there in the moment with her. But he has walls protecting his heart, unbreakable walls due to great loss in his life. But behind those walls there is a soft, vulnerable part of him that he never shows. Not to anyone, not even to himself. He might considered that part of himweak, but I see that part of him, regardless that he wants to hide it. It’s my favorite side of him.

Aidan, what is the most common misconception vanillas have about BDSM Dungeons and please feel free to correct us.

Aidan: That there is only one way to do BDSM. It is a very personal thing for each person. Some like things others don’t. Some want to be in the lifestyle 24/7, while others enjoy submission for a set time or maybe only in the bedroom with light BDSM. There is no one way that is right. Whatever you like, as long as it’s consensual, I say go for it!

Cora: For me, it’s that submissives are weak. That is so far from the truth. It takes strength to submit to someone and to dive into your darkest desires. And a submissive knows what she wants sexually—giving up control arouses her—and it takes a strong person to go after what sexually arouses them. The choice to give up control is a conscious one. And if that’s not a strong person, I don’t know what is.

Cora, what is the most challenging part about being a submissive?

Cora: Well, for me, it’s natural to be submissive in the dungeon. I enjoy being in the care of a Dominant. It excites me to lose control and allow someone else to take over and push me into sexual adventures that I wouldn’t go on my own or ask for. I like the peace it gives my mind. It frees me and lets everything inside be quiet for a while, which is good for me. It keeps me grounded and centered.

The most challenging part is not letting go too much. Aidan is a Dom who is firm in his rules. Match that with the passion between us and sometimes I forget his rules. His touch makes me lose my inhibitions. His touch blows my world apart.Sometimes that’s a blessing. Other times it brings problems, since I have a bad habit of not following his orders—likeorgasming without permission—and that always makes him grumpy.

But hey, can you blame a girl?! Besides, usually making Aidan grumpy only draws out my pleasure in some horrible—annoying—way. Maybe that’s bratty of me, but heck, a girl needs to have her fun, doesn’t she?

So the holidays just passed, how did you two spend NYE?

Aidan: At Club Sin, surrounded by friends, lust, and a grand ole kinky time!

I've never been to Las Vegas, can you give me your Top 5 must-do list for Vegas Virgins like myself?

Aidan: Visit the Bellagio fountains—it’s a beautiful sight. If you’re looking for fun, go to any of the nightclubs at the casinos. A good time will be had by all. Also make sure you go downtown to the old part of Las Vegas. No Vegas trip is finished without seeing old Vegas.

Cora: Yes, definitely all of that. I would also add see Cirque du Soleil, because it’s an incredible show. And go for thebreakfast buffet at the Wynn, since the food is great and the view is stunning.

Noted. Lastly, Aidan, as a master, what advice can you give vanillas out there who wants to be subs? And Cora, what advice can you give future Masters?

Aidan: Research. Learn. Listen. Explore. Don’t be arrogant, you’re not God. Treat your submissive with care and compassion. Always remember, safe, sane and consensual!

Cora: I agree with Aidan, and I’d add, find a group in your community that you can belong to. BDSM is all about learningwhat you’ll enjoy and what makes you happy. It should be fun. It should be playful. It should always be safe. Having friends in the lifestyle are some of the best people you can learn from, and sometimes you need a good friend to lean on who understands you.

Witty characters, dominant men, danger, action, romance and hot sex―oh my!

My urban fantasy romance novels are lighthearted fantasy with heart squeezing, thigh-clenching romance, and even give a good chuckle every now and again. But within the stories you’ll find fast paced action, emotions we can all relate to, life threatening moments and a big bad villain that needs to be destroyed.

My erotic romance novels are just that…erotic. There is nothing better than taking the dominant men I love and watching them do wicked things to their women. I make the stories as hot as I possibly can and usually the characters take it a step further to even make my cheeks blush. But I just can’t write without a little humor added into the mix so that’s always a must have in my stories. And of course, what’s a story without a big dose of emotional characters, too.

I live in Ontario, Canada with my husband who gave me my happily ever after. We have two small children who keep me on my toes and can always make me smile. But we also have basically a zoo at our house with one dog and three cats. I love the outdoors, camping, curling up with the latest flick and simply enjoying life.

  2. You know, I think I'll try 50, yes, me, the person who was always saying that she wouldn't read it! At the end I confess I'm curious and maybe later if it's ok this one as well... We'll see how it will be. I'm anxious.

  3. Ho boy! This sounds like a hot one, Braine. But it seems to have a lot of story and I like a good story to go along with the smexy times. :) I want to meet Aidan and Cora - especially Cora, who seems like such a strong heroine, despite being a sub. And can I say that I swooned over Aidan's answer to the surprises in Bared? *swoon* Yeah, this is definitely a series I'm gonna check out.

  4. Whoa! You really took the gloves off with this character chat. Well done! Stacey Kennedy's paranormal books have been on my TBR shelf for way too long which is a shame because she's Canadian and I hear her writing is amazing. One of these days...

  9. I agree, I tend to be picky now with my erotica, especially if it contains BDSM. I'm sick of doormat, virginal females and sex god, rich as sin males. I like the fact that you didn't feel dirty after their sex scenes, and there was actual romance in the relationship. If Im ever in the mood for BDSM I will definitely try this series!

  10. Great character interview, I'm very intrigued :) and I so agree, I love a good erotica/BDSM but there so few out there - I need some plot and enough with the virginal sub and rich Dom. Great review, I'm going to check this series out for sure!

  14. I've been waiting to read this series for a long time, but sadly, for some weird reason, for the last couple of months, I don't enjoy reading Erotica, I think I read it so much now I need a break from that genre. Hopefully my erotica slump will end soon, because I love Stacey Kennedy and her books and would really love to read these ones.
