Bought, Borrowed & Bagged #87

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

STILL OPEN!
Leslea Tash is still looking for Goodreads/Blog reviewers to read BIRD AFTER BIRD. This is a full length contemporary romance novel with the release date still pending. If you are interested, leave a comment below with your email so I can contact you or you may visit Leslea's FACEBOOK PAGE if you want to get in touch with her directly.

Leslea, aka Red Tash, is the author of TROLL OR DERBY. She's has a wicked mind and even more wicked with a pen... errr keyboard... so you're in good hands.

Big & Small

I may not be the biggest Dystopia reader but I do love Dystopian movies. I believe AFTER THE DARK is already in theaters and I have to say that I haven't heard or seen this before. And as V-Day is just around the corner, this may be a good alternative to all those sappy romantic movies coming out soon. Personally, I prefer a bunch of teens deciding the fates of their peers than a pair of lovers trying to figure out how they're going to make their relationship work.

Yup. V(agina)-Day makes me grumpy. #bitter

  3. The Deadwood book looks interesting and I like the title. You have a nice mix of books.

Have you ever read Asfhfall or Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin? They are dystopian YA and very good.

  8. Oh my goodness, I love Eve Langlais, and her FUC series is so funny! I have read a couple of the books and thought they were awesome.

Nice haul, Braine :) I hope you'll enjoy all your new books.

Thanks for stopping by earlier :)

I haven't even heard of any of the books in your haul, but several look very interesting. I don't know why, but the titles of Are You Pure or Are You Mutant got to me.

Thanks for stopping by earlier. I hope you've enjoyed your weekend.

  9. I hadn't heard of After the Dark before today. It looks really good. I have a love hate relationship with Valentine's Day. I've had horrible ones and fabulous ones. I've been married 13 years now so well... it can feel like another day. My birthday is on the 12th so my whole life all my boyfriends got me 1 gift for both holidays. AND my husband's birthday is the same day as mine so we just ended up celebrating all the holidays together. So I sometimes am bitter at Valentine's Day myself.

  10. The only aspect of Valentine's Day that I like are giant Reese's Peanut Butter hearts; those are awesome. I'm not much of a dystopian reader, either; if the world building isn't there, I'm pretty much done. Have a great week, Braine! :D

  11. Great haul, Braine! I'm rather jealous of a few - Eve Langlais and Kate Serine, in particular! ;) I'm with you about V-Day my dear. Never been a big fan. I figure those who love it weren't snubbed at V-Day parties in school *haha* After the Dark looks great!

  12. *sigh* I need to make time to try Estep's books. I even have several of them.

I'm not a fan of VDay either. I mean, what does one day mean? And why should my husband feel so much pressure? It's weird.

    Enjoy your books!
