Bought Borrowed & Bagged #83

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

BB&B is an homage Barron's Books & Baubles from Karen Marie Moning's smash hit series, Fever.

I FELL OFF THE WAGON!
Three of these I requested last year, then the rest I can't help but download/request. BUT this little exercise made me realize that I don't have to be stalking NG &EW on a daily basis and it made me more picky about my requests. I'll still try to not request anything til the end of January but it's really, really challenging!

ATTENTION:
Leslea Tash, author of BIRD AFTER BIRD is looking for readers to review the novel. There's no book tour in place so you may review it at your convenience on Goodreads.

The cover art is linked to Goodreads if you need more info. So if you want to give it a go, please email me or you may visit Leslea's Facebook Page for more details.

  7. I got The Madman's Daughter eBook a while back, but it's been sitting on my Kindle ever since. I'm really bad about buying super sale-priced eBooks then taking forever to read them, lol. Game of Thrones Season 4 trailer on HBO tonight @ 8:58!!!

  8. Ah, well, falling off the wagon is allowable under these circumstances: Tempered, The Madman's Daughter and of course, Dirty Magic! By the way, yes I am totally in on the buddy read for Tempered. See how things go over the next week or so!

  9. I have to admit that I'm not big on EW. I have requested a few books on there but always get denied or ignored. I have more of a rapport with Netgalley so that's where I focus my time.

    1. I agree! Now I just look for the downloadable ones and avoid the books where I have to request it.

  10. LOL I didn't stay on the wagon either, Braine. You made quite a haul this week. I'm kinda jealous of Tangled and The Madman's Daughter...I really want to read those. They all look great though. :) And I'm gonna go check out Bird After Bird.

  11. I don't even visit NG anymore unless I specifically want a particular book or the publisher asks me. It's just too easy to get too many!

I have the first of Karina Cooper's but I haven't read it yet. I did meet her and she's great! I'm really wanting Dirty Magic!

You got a lot of good ones. Enjoy!

  12. I try not to actively go seeking new review requests and I had the same thing happen when old requests that I'd forgotten about got approved and showed up. Look like they are some good ones at least. ;)
