Meet the furry big brother that the Wird sisters never had…

Bren is a cocky, brash hound of a werewolf who loathes the idea of belonging to Aric’s pack—much less finding a mate. But Bren’s hotheaded behavior lands him in the doghouse when he defies Aric’s authority in front of his pack, bringing up a sore subject that’s bound to make the Alpha wolf’s blood boil…

Luckily for him, no one can stay mad at Bren and his wild charm for long. And when some frightening ghosts launch a hostile paranormal takeover, Bren will team up with Celia to take down the evil ghouls before they hurt someone they both love…

Includes a preview of the upcoming Weird Girls novel Cursed by Destiny!

Oh Bren! I so love your storytelling voice, A CURSED MOON was beyond entertaining thanks to you! I wouldn't mind if the next novella is in your POV again, maybe you can help us get caught up with the other sisters and not just Celia. You're such a jerk but in a funny way, no wonder the girls love you to death! Celia, Taran, Shayna and Emme can always count on you because you've proven once again that you are a true friend!

To refresh your memories, Bren was one of the key players in A Cursed Embrace when The Weird Girls and Aric's pack battled those crazy, creepy, lusty demons. Since then, Bren has been invited by Aric to join his pack but this stubborn lone wolf won't bow down to his new Alpha easily. Aside from the childish barbs and siccing a wereskunk on the Warrior's ride, Bren likes to stir some shiz when it comes to Aric. Ever loyal to Celia, he took it personally that Aric dumped Celia for a pure breed. Even Aric's Barbie wannabe fiance isn't spared from his thorny remarks [one of my fave parts] at the expense of getting hit in the face. With intentions of catching and checking up on his bestie, Celia, their mini-reunion turned deadly when they got attacked by ghosts. I guess there's no such thing as "chilling out" when any of The Weird Girls are involved.

Just like the previous novels and novella, A CURSED EMBRACE is loaded with action and para-super adventures. As I've mentioned, The Weird Girls 2.5 is told from Bren's POV and this wolf had me chuckling all throughout because of his smart ass comments and acid come backs. But underneath his good looks and attitude lies a super devoted friend. Bren will risk life and limb to keep his friends, human or supe, safe and when Dan, a human and Bren's anti-thesis, got taken by Latin American ghosts, Ciguafas, it's no question that Bren will do everything in his power to save him. Another reason why weres are my favorite supes, regardless of the situation, we can always trust that they'll be LOYAL.

Cecy Robson is on a roll with these stories although I have to be honest and say that I was kinda hoping A CURSED MOON would feature Celia's sisters. I was thinking the next novella would be Shayna's since she went through a roller coaster ride back in A Cursed Embrace and I'd like to see how's life been treating her since then. Plus I've been itching to know the other Wirds better, especially Taran [she's my fave], maybe in the next books? Anyways, A CURSED MOON is as fast paced, lively and dangerous as the previous books. CRobson always adds these curious creatures into the mix it'll be a long a$$ time before I get tired of the series. This Weird Girls novella is out now, don't forget to grab a copy from your favorite online bookstore.

Urban Fantasy
Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other 20-something girls—with one tiny exception: they're products of a backfired curse that has given each of them unique powers that make them, well, weird…...

Celia’s a girl in trouble. Her heart is bound to Aric, but he is a purebloodwere who must deny her or risk condemning his species to extinction. And that’s just her love life. She’s also been called to take down a group of demon terrorists looking to overthrow the paranormal world. (No pressure.)

In order to bring them down, Celia must ally herself to Misha, the master vampire who has made no secret of his desire for her. And if that weren’t enough misfortune for one girl, a clairvoyant’s prediction could destroy Celia and Aric’s love for good. The only way to protect the world from unbridled supernatural terrorism is for Celia to bind herself to her destined mate. And that doesn’t appear to be Aric….

Cecy (pronounced Sessy) Robson is an author with Penguin's SIGNET ECLIPSE. She attributes her passion for story-telling back to the rough New Jersey neighborhood she was raised in. As a child, she was rarely allowed to leave the safety of her house and passed her time fantasizing about flying, fairies, and things that go bump in the night. Her dad unwittingly encouraged Cecy's creativity by kissing her goodnight wearing vampire fangs. Gifted and cursed with an overactive imagination, she began writing her Urban Fantasy Romance Series, Weird Girls, in May 2009. THE WEIRD GIRLS: A Novella, debuts December 4, 2012 followed by SEALED WITH A CURSE, December 31, 2012, and A CURSE EMBRACED, July 2, 2013.

  5. I have never heard of this series before, but it sounds like it's full of humor, and that's something I always enjoy. It has happened before that I've been laughing out loud while reading - and that's the best kind of fun :)

    Thanks for sharing Braine :)

  6. Hey, Braine. I'm glad you had fun with Bren. This novella, originally called A WEIRD FRIEND, and originally 10k words was written in 2010 along with, yes, TARAN'S first novella. I also wrote a second novella from Bren's perspective that same year. I'm hoping Taran's novella will be released within the next 18 months. As a teaser, this is the novella where my foul-mouthed and pissy sister meets Gemini's very quiet and VERY traditional parents. :)
