The sexy second installment in the Inside Out erotic romance trilogy, following If I Were You—in the seductive tradition of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Fascinated by the dark fantasies in the journals she’s discovered, and the two men who have now found a place in her life, Sara McMillan finds herself torn between her new life and her past. Now, more than ever, Sara identifies with the lost journal writer, Rebecca, and is certain that something sinister has happened.

In the arms of the sexy, tormented artist Chris Merit, Sara seeks answers about Rebecca and ends up discovering things about herself she never knew existed. Chris forces Sara to reconsider who she is and what she truly wants from life, but not before his dark desires threaten to tear them apart. Her boss, Mark Compton, offers her the shelter to understand just what those needs mean to her, and what they might have meant to Rebecca, but can she trust him to lead her to a final conclusion to Rebecca’s story?

Due to the strong sexual content of the novel we recommend it to readers 18 and up.

BEING ME, the second Inside Out Trilogy novel by Lisa Renee Jones is FAR from a sequel novel. It's so much more than a book 2! There so much that happened in BEING ME, so many revelations I think Revealing Us should be it's title! What revelations? Well just to give you a little teasing gossip, The Master's identity is revealed (I guessed right! Totally gloating right now!) as well as Rebecca's whereabouts AND more on Sara McMillan's backstory. My head and heart are reeling from all of these in addition to all the relationship intigue and drama, lots of hot coitus and heart-melting post-coital conversations between Sara and Chris. Ugh!

Where to begin?!
There is no such thing as love, only different shades of lust. - Rebecca
Although the final installment of Rebecca's Lost Journals is yet to be released, I am a little sad that Rebecca's story arc has wrapped. Like Sara, I've grown fond and very attached to Rebecca and reading her journals made me even more invested in her story. We'll find out what happened to Rebecca, why her storage unit was abandoned, her Master and the part he played in Rebecca's disappearance. BEING ME answered most of our Rebecca-related questions in short bursts I have to do several double takes just to make sure I read it right and that LRJones isn't teasing us with hypotheticals and clever guesses.
I wonder if I am drawn to him because I'm self-destructive, and he to me for the same reason. - Sara
Sara McMillan's quest to find Rebecca ironically put her in somewhat the same situation Rebecca found herself in. Not only is Sara sort of retelling Rebecca's story, she's reenacting her life to an extent. Talk about walking in someone else's shoes! Anyway, Sara is a tortured heroine herself, we learn more about her past and growing up a rich and privileged is not all as it's cracked up to be. Sadly she was scarred by it and carried it through her relationships including the one she has with Chris right now. Good thing the buck stops with Chris and despite the man's hot and cold, uber passionate personality, Chris genuinely cares for Sara. He might be territorial but he's not like Rebecca's Master who's trying to collar her. The sense of ownership Christ has towards Sara is mutual and really it's more of belonging than being owned.
I need you alive and well if I'm going to fuck you until you can't forget my name. - Chris
In If I Were You I wasn't sold on either Chris and Mark because they both appear to be nothing but power tripping pricks. Well, I've changed my mind as Chris has won me over. Mark can stay in his corner because his cool calculating demeanor does nothing for me but Chris!

OMG! Chris Merit you make my panties melt!

This dude can talk the talk and walk the walk! Every time he stakes his claim on Sara and stands up for her, especially when he did so to her dad... hot damn! All I need is salt and pepper and I'm ready to go. Truss me up, baby, I'm all yours!

BEING ME is not a transitional novel. It's not your typical sequel. BEING ME is a game changer of some sort. Lines were crossed, lives are changed, hard truths came out and this is Sara's turning point. LRJones really painted a vivid picture of Sara and Chris' ever evolving relationship, giving it layers of depth and the strokes varies from sweet to graphic. Chris and Sara are both tested but Sara more so. I love how she dealt with her growing emotions for him and Chris as a person for that matter, flaws and all. Chris might be attractive but he's a challenging person to love given his personality quirks (understatement!). But Sara plowed through and I admire her strength and love for the man. For Sara, it's flight AND fight. Contradictory but you'll get it once you've read it if you haven't yet.

I know I'm rambling a bit and have given y'all NOTHING to work with. Lisa Renee Jones is simply clever like that. Any short mention of the plot and boom! I've given everything away and where's the fun in that?! So I suggest that YOU, my beloved Supies, get the books and read 'em all! LRJones is a master in writing  sexy, jaw clenching, teeth grinding, romantic suspense stories. She'll keep you at the edge of your seat your heart will pound from the heat and the suspense. Money well spent.
