Bought Borrowed and Bagged #56

BB&B (Bought, Borrowed and Bagged) is a weekly meme, inspired my The Story Siren and Pop Culture Junkie, where we share with you the books that we have bought, borrowed or bagged (won or gifted) plus a recap of the previous week's reviews, upcoming reviews, on going events and book movie or television news.

Sorry for being MIA last week, I was out on a family vacation and didn't have enough time to make my BB&B so this week's edition is still lean for two weeks.

Bagged
from Authors, NetGalley & Edelweiss

Big & Small
If I haven't read the books, I'd say this is going to be one kick ass movie. The first movie was a little disappointing because Rick Riordan wrote one hell of the story and the adaptation was terrible plot-wise. Maybe I'm a masochist because I'd still want to watch the movie (with my expectations set on LOW) even though I think the actors are too old to get away playing teens plus the dude playing Tyson, Douglas Smith, is too good looking to be a baby cyclops. At least I'll be comforted with the thought that the special effects will be cool.

  3. I hope to start Throne of Glass this week. Ally absolutely loved it, and she's dying to read Crown of Midnight. I still need to catch up with the rest of the Percy Jackson books (I've only read The Lightning Thief so far). I saw the movie and it was quite a letdown, but I'll probably still watch Sea of Monsters out of curiosity when it comes out on DVD. Hope you had an awesome vacation, Braine!

    1. Yay! I thought of you when I got approved, I hope it remains kick ass and would focus more on the adventure than on the brewing love triangle.

  6. I'm gauging out my eyes right now because I see Crown of Midnight which I am dying to read. I hate NG right now for denying me after I gave the original book an awesome review. FML I started reading Moonbeam but put it aside to catch up on my reading. Hope you like it since you got me addicted to Tim's books!

    1. Sorry to hear that Shelly. I do hate it when that happens, we give the first book glowing reviews then we get denied for the sequel after helping them pimp it out.

Happy to have a fellow Tim addict :D
