I've had SEDUCED BY INNOCENCE for quite some time now but haven't really gotten round to  it so when Innovative Tours sent an invite to participate for this tour, I jumped on it so I can scratch it off my ever growing TBR and I get to read Rose's Trilogy in quick succession.

Kimberly Kinrade's Seduced Saga is greatly inspired by Shakespeare's plays. SEDUCED BY INNOCENCE is very Romeo and Juliet with Rose Wintersong, a witch, fell in love with Derek O'Connor, a druid/werewolf, and their families are at war from each other. Here KKinrade paints a picture of romantic forbidden love between the two and how their growing love for each other can either break or bring them together. SEDUCED BY INNOCENCE is romance driven with Rose and Derek not being able to resist their attraction to each other and at the same time, fighting it off because of Rose's mother who clearly doesn't approve of their pairing.

SEDUCED BY PAIN tells the conflict of the entire saga and has touches of Midsummer Night's Dream with all the plotting, secrets and big reveals. Here we see how Rose and Derek are fighting against the tide and are doing their best to be together despite Rose's mother, Rainbow, doing everything in her power to stop them. Here we find out why Rainbow has a beef with Derek's family, Rose's true identity and all the devious plotting Rainbow has been doing to destroy the O'Connors. Turns out Rainbow is a jilted lover and she's out to get Derek's father for breaking her heart in the past. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!

Finally in SEDUCED BY POWER, we see Rose rise up to her powers and everything gets resolved but not without it taking a toll on everyone especially Rose. The last book of the trilogy is very dark and very Macbeth because of the emotional and psychological implications Rainbow's revenge is doing to Rose and how she's a pawn in all of this. It's a little tragic but Rose and Derek  didn't take the brunt of it, they got their HEA but the path to happiness was paved with prickly thorns.

As the saga are a set of novellas, I suggest that y'all should get all three so you can read the entire story one after the other and not be kept in suspense. The romance part is very intense and passionate with a good dose of eroticism. I was caught a little off guard because SEDUCED WITH INNOCENCE started very PG and then it suddenly went R-18 in a blink of an eye. Rose is most definitely NOT your usual virgin queen, this girl has some dirty bedroom tricks up her sleeve that made Derek's eyes roll! So I'm not sure if I'd consider this New Adult because though Rose and Derek are young and budding adults, their sexual adventures are more evolved as compared to their contemporaries. It's more freaky-kinky than emotional as far as the bedroom gymnastics are concerned.

As for the cohesive flow of the story, it might be because the volumes are short so some of the events and happenstance didn't feel drawn out as I'd hope them to be but it wasn't rushed. I just would've preferred more tension instead of a straightforward telling of events but again I guess given the format of the saga, the pace has to be so. Aside from the lukewarm suspense, I wish KKinrade made the villains more imposing and threatening. Don't get me wrong, Rainbow is someone you'll truly hate and the extent of her vengeance is infinite, I just wish she was given more airtime to let us feel how menacing she is. I say this because the story revolved more around Rose and Derek's passionate relationship and the external conflicts, like their warring families, felt more like a side story.

Overall, the Seduced Saga is romance-centric with a good dash of fantasy to keep things interesting and exciting. I love how KKinrade was obviously very inspired by Shakespeare and how the trilogy did good in terms of paying homage to some of the poet's greatest works. Rose's Trilogy is very sexy, emotional, romantic and entertaining. So if you're into fairy tale endings and fantastical stories, I'm sure you'll love the trilogy.
