From Lisa Renee Jones, author of the sexy Inside Out erotic romance trilogy, comes the first installment of entries from Rebecca’s lost journals—brand-new diary excerpts and secrets not found in If I Were You, Being Me, and Revealing Us.

In the second sultry e-short of excerpts from Rebecca’s Lost Journals, Rebecca is faced with a contract to be a submissive that she doesn’t want to sign—and her would-be Master has unusual methods of convincing her.
THE CONTRACT volume two of Rebecca's Lost Journals by one of my favorite romance authors, Lisa Renee Jones, continues to entice and thrill us with the Rebecca's walk to the kinky side. We still don't know who Master is but Rebecca/LRJones gave us a clue:
There was another man there-- tall and gorgeous, dark where my "Master" was light, wearing jeans and a T-shirt that molded a perfectly sculpted body.
So if you've read If I Were You you'd think it's Chris Merit right? I changed my mind ten thousand times, one day it's Mark next it's Chris. Well now I think it's Chris because in The Seduction I was so sure it was Mark but with LRJones you never know. Heck maybe Master is a whole new character we've never met?!

Back to the story. In THE CONTRACT Rebecca's is testing the waters of being a sub and Master isnt forcing it on her either. Instead he takes it slow and breaks it down to lessons varying from elementary to complete I like how she's not going all naïve and gullible about the whole thing. She questions the parameters of the contract and counters with her own limits and conditions. Yes, she lets herself gets seduced and she does it with great abandon and trepidation. A paradox but that's THE CONTRACT in a nutshell and Rebecca is caught in a fierce emotional and mental tug of war which makes her journey real than fantastical.

Now I wonder, I consider myself naughty but definitely vanilla however with the right set of circumstances similar to Rebecca's, would I consider being a sub? Would you?
This is sex. Just sex. In so many ways, it's what I want. No ties. No emotions. No interference in my job and career goals. Yet he wants to own my mind, time, body and heart. It's very confusing.

I've gone from having virtually no men in my life to being surrounded by powerful, talented, rich, controlling men, and it's messing with my head.

I want you as my sub, Rebecca, like I haven't wanted another sub in a very long time.

  1. Sounds like its keeping you on your toes guessing Chris and Mark.

I've been a sub before but it didn't end well. It turned more to abuse than what we were like at the beginning of our relationship. It was romantic as well as sub relationship though, so I know that is not always the norm...

    1. Brandi you shock me! Do tell! I never would've thought you were one with your wholesome, vanilla reads!

  2. oooooo..Im so curious now. Roxking review Braine. ;)

  3. I LOVE this series! I haven't read any of the diary books but that's only because I kind of want to read them once they all come out so I don't have to wait. I really hope that Chris isn't the mystery dom because that would totally break my heart. Great review!

    1. I love how she keeps us guessing. I hope its Mark!

  4. I'm afraid I'm far too dominant to be a sub. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy stories from their point of view!

    1. I feel you. I think I will make for an awful sub!

  5. I'm reading this right now and at the current moment I'm convinced it's not either one. After "If I Were You" I thought for sure it was Chris but not any more :( I think the lovely Lisa Renee Jones just likes to screw with my head ;)
