When psychic Laura Dearborn inherits Stonecross Hall in 1926, she has no idea she's inheriting a love story too-one that she's lived again and again. But as Alaric Storm III, the handsome owner of the mansion from sixty years earlier, starts to haunt her waking dreams, Laura discovers her heart's true home has always been within Stonecross's walls.

Tormented by memories of war, Alaric Storm III is used to spirits-just not ones from the future. Set on fire by Laura's ghostly affections, Alaric is forced to choose: follow his heart and grasp Laura's hand through time, or surrender to the call of duty and live without love.

As All Hallows' Eve draws near, Alaric and Laura must find a way to hold on to each other forever-or risk repeating their tragic romance until the end of time.
MIDNIGHT IN YOUR ARMS by Morgan Kelly is a short, sweet and romantic time travelling love story about a 19th century aristocrat and a Twenties Girl. MKelly's debut reminded me of the movie Somewhere in Time (1980, Christopher Reeve & Jane Seymour) minus the tragedy. Some of you might be too young to have seen that movie but it's one of the most romantic time travelling stories I have ever seen and this novella was no different.

What endeared MIDNIGHT IN YOUR ARMS to me was the time period, straddling both the latter part of the Victorian Era and the Great War, with Downton Abbey and Upstairs Downstairs romanticizing this time period for me so this novella was perfect in feeding that fascination. The setting was alluring enough and adding a supernatural flavor made it even better. The story is pretty simple and in 90 pages we are caught in a very curious and tantalizing love affair between Laura and Alaric. Here are two people with decades between them and some glitch in the laws of the universe enabled them to go back/forward in time and be with each other.

In so few words, simple happenstance and a figurative wave of a magic wand, Laura and Alaric found their loophole and had their HEA. Though short MKelly succeeded in making this novella suspenseful, romantic and captivating. MIDNIGHT IN YOUR ARMS is one of those stories that will leave you feeling whimsical, girly, buoyant and lighthearted. What could be better than that?

Because you have loved me over and over again, in every moment of time, and always will.
