Being a divorce attorney for the rich and famous isn't all it's cracked up to be. Julie Harrison has learned that love doesn't last, and she's sworn never to make the same mistakes as her mother, or her clients. She uses the games men play to keep them at a distance. The only man who managed to break down her walls was Luke Walker, a Navy SEAL who loved her and left her, and changed her forever.

When Luke arrives back in New York, running Walker Security with his brothers and having left his Navy SEAL days behind, he sets his sights on Julie, the woman he's always wanted and couldn't have. Except, she runs from him every time he gets close.

But now, one of Julie's clients, a powerful judge, gets involved with a dangerous cartel, and his soon-to-be-ex wife ends up dead. Julie's next on the list, and she finds herself on the run from those who believe she knows too much, and counting on Luke to keep her alive. In the deepest, darkest moments of the night, passion will bring them together while danger threatens to tear them apart. Can Julie and Luke trust each other and find their happy ending before they find ... the end?

DANGEROUS SECRETS by Lisa Renee Jones is as desirous as it's predecessors, Secrets Exposed and Hot Secrets. The story still involves hair raising mysteries and heart stopping action and though LRJones doesn't really tease us with the criminal suspense aspect of the novel, she amped up Luke and Julie's sexy role reversal courtship.

Tall, Dark and Deadly is a romantic suspense series and it's leaning more towards the former than on the latter. LRJones doesn't hold back on the clues so it was easy to solve the whodunnit part of the books. The focal point of all the novels as with DANGEROUS SECRETS is the romance and this time it's between former Navy SEAL, Luke Walker, and top divorce attorney, Julie Harrison.
Damn it, he loved Julie. He loved her in this moment more than he'd ever loved her. She was gorgeous, and sexy, and successful because she was smart and she worked hard. But even more than that, she was scared and yet she was still brave - Luke's musing
Like Royce and Lauren, Luke and Julie started their relationship as a casual hook-up however Luke started wanting more and unlike other women, Julie is a bit of a commitment-phobe. Luke has been itching to snag Julie for an exclusive relationship and he finally got the opening he needed. It's really ideal, with Julie's life being threatened by big time cartels but it sure did serve its purpose in bring her and Luke together.

The role reversal was exquisite. Luke Walker is the Walker Brother I want to marry. He's very attentive, anticipating Julie's needs and wants even before she realizes she wants and needs them. Luke is the guy who remembers important details, he's protective and romantically subtle he's not going to sweep you off your feet but instead he'll make you fall in love with him. I can't gush enough about Luke, suffice to say that he's the type you want to bring home to your hometown to meet your parents and grandparents.
Don't you dare get killed, you hear me?
Sweetheart, I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me, whether you like it or not.
DANGEROUS SECRETS is a good time read, it's not going to mess up with your head with the mystery and suspense but it will rev you up with the romance. And like what I said in my previous Tall, Dark and Deadly reviews, the stories gets more intense with every book. The next one is about Blake and I have a feeling that his story will be dark and very emotional. LRJones not only wrote a novel but a novella as well. Saving the best for last I guess (hope).
