What Does A Man Say to the Woman He Betrayed But Never Stopped Loving?

Three years ago, Zachary Steele refused to entertain thoughts of permanency with any woman. A hedonist at heart, he didn’t want to corrupt the much younger, Madigan DeLeon, by continuing his affair with her. With the hidden scars of his past, he didn’t believe in happily-ever-after. By the time he realized how much Madigan meant to him, he’d driven her away. Then, one night, after being clean for a number of years, Zach briefly falls off the bandwagon. He believes his lovemaking to Madi is a drug-induced hallucination. The resulting consequences tell another story.

What Does A Woman Do When the Only Man She’s Ever Loved Hurt Her So Deeply She Feared She’d Never Recover?

Three years after her affair with Zach so abruptly ended, celebutante, Madigan DeLeon, is thrust back into Zach’s life by her mother’s machinations. Brought home under the false pretenses of repairing her damaged relationship with her mother, Madi instead finds herself running a private sex club called Wicked Allure. Forced to confront her anger at his betrayal and grief at the loss of what might’ve been, Madi faces the realization that she’s never stopped loving Zach.

Can Two Broken Hearts Set Aside Anger and Betrayal to Find True Love Once and For All?

Searching the deepest recesses of their hearts, in a place where pride and pain has no room, Madi and Zach must decide if their bond is strong enough to take a second chance at love. Or if resuming their sexual relationship is an irresistible wicked allure and the ghosts of their former relationship will finally, and forever, sever all ties between them.

Multicultural Erotic Romance with Adults-Only Content, explicit language and some drug use. Recommended for readers 18 and up.

WICKED ALLURE by Leslie Ferdinand is an engrossing tale about family and relationships. I found myself having strong reactions to the story which made me a little unsure about myself because after perusing a few reviews on Goodreads, I feel like I'm the only one who wasn't totally in love with the book.

Family Drama: LFerdinand went all out as far as the drama is concerned, she didn't hold back and didn't give Karolyn any likeable qualities til the end. I truly hated Madigan's mother, the very manipulative, Karolyn DeLeon. Though Madigan and her sisters are fiercely independent, they still fall to the malicious machinations of their mother and no matter how much pain and trouble the matriarch inflicted on them, the sisters still falls prey to her devious plotting. Until the end Karolyn remained unbending and I felt sorry for her daughters because they are still yearning for her approval despite the havoc and heartbreak she's caused in their lives. Jack DeLeon was a weak father too, taking their mother's side when clearly she was close to ruining their daughters lives because of her selfishness and bitterness.
Madigan was moonshine and madness, her kisses as intoxicating as fairy dust. - Zach
Zach had two heads: one at the end of his neck and the other at the end of his prick and neither one had a brain. Still he was solely motivated by the one between his legs.  -Madigan
Madi & Zach: Angsty romance. Explosive Sex. Passionate lovemaking. That's only scratching the surface of Zach and Madigan's relationship. Their love-hate relationship was intriguing because of all the back stories and malicious attacks done my Madigan's mother, Karolyn. Their constant tug of war will also grab your attention because you can see how much Madi's trying to keep Zach at arm's length but the latter is relentless. Oh and I keep imagining Michael Ealy as Zach and Dania Ramirez as Madi. The vivid writing helped make the fantasy HD. LOL

3 Stars: I understand where Madi's insecurities are coming from but it kept on going for three quarters of the story until it came to a point where it got old for me and I wish she'd move on. I wish Madi tried to take more control of the situation instead of being passive-aggressive like Zach already asked her to move-in with him, keys and all, why ruin the moment with more talk about the past when the guy is so ready to move forward?! Some of the scenes were overly dramatic for me and didn't feel natural or organic but staged complete with blocking, scathing one-liners, walk-outs and bitch slapping. Nothing wrong with that but those tense scenes had "scripted" written all over it.

There are also a couple of inconsistencies I saw one of which was Zach telling Brianna he's never told Madi he loves her when in fact he did early in the book. It was when he seduced Madi in her room while Kyle, Madi's boyfriend, was waiting for her in the guest room. And the suspicion that Karolyn slept with Zach came out of left field and very unsupported, I still don't know how Madi came up with that conclusion, even Brianna said so herself: How did you come up with such an outrageous notion, Madi? From one conversation that didn't hint on any possible sexual relationship Karolyn might have had with Zach aside from stating a fact that Zach is a MAN.

Overall, I love the structure of the story, there's tons of drama, explicit sex (read the excerpt!), back stabbing, head-butting and a host of other spicy ingredients that made WICKED ALLURE an enjoyable read.

Miss B check out Tim's fan page , his 15yr old son did a wonderful banner for him for Dead Statues. Tom is a clever boy . I had already seen it when I got a text from Tim but he had already gone to bed. Tom did a great job of the cracked face:)
