No safe word can protect the heartInfamous erotica author and accomplished dominatrix Nora Sutherlin is doing something utterly out of character: hiding. While her longtime lover, Søren—whose fetishes, if exposed, would be his ruin—is under scrutiny pending a major promotion, Nora's lying low and away from temptation in the lap of luxury.

Her host, the wealthy and uninhibited Griffin Fiske, is thrilled to have Nora stay at his country estate, especially once he meets her traveling companion. Young, inexperienced and angelically beautiful, Michael has become Nora's protégé, and this summer with Griffin is going to be his training, where the hazing never ends.

But while her flesh is willing, Nora's mind is wandering. To thoughts of Søren, her master, under investigation by a journalist with an ax to grind. And to another man from Nora's past, whose hold on her is less bruising, but whose secrets are no less painful. It's a summer that will prove the old adage: love hurts.
DISCLAIMER:
This story is a cornucopia of delight, a story so deviant and unbridled it will drive you mad with lust and desire. Proceed with caution. Recommended for readers 18 & up.

"If it's an abomination, it's because you're doing it wrong. Bear down hard, then relax. It'll fit better." - Nora on anal sex, lecturing elderly ladies gossiping about her in church
The Original Sinners is like sour candy! It will make you uncomfortable and cringe on several places at first and you can't rush and bite it in half because you're meant to go through the layers slowly until you reach that sweet spot. And once you're there, you never want it to end.

Lubed and primed from The Siren I eagerly started the next book in the series, THE ANGEL. And I got what I expected and so much more! The story is emotional, riveting, addicting and very sinful throughout the novel I have a weird desire to go to Church not to confess but to hang out. Scope out the rectory, get lucky and find Søren meditating or something. I have all these emotions washing over me it's a little hard to untangle everything. Just thinking about the story all over again gets me all excited and my thoughts stuttering.

The Angel and the Griffin
THE ANGEL is Michael Dimir whom we first met in The Siren and this is partly his story. Three years ago Michael tried to commit suicide because he discovered he likes BDSM which got him confused, scared and conflicted about his sexuality and preference. This discovery riled up his parents which resulted to child abuse from his dad further aggravating Michael's vulnerable situation. Søren saved him by taking Michael under his wing and eventually introducing him to the infamous Nora Sutherlin who Michael adores and worships.

But Michael's angel wings didn't come from Nora. Instead it was Griffin Fiske who managed to make Michael soar. I was pleasantly surprised by this story development but Griffin and Michael are the perfect matc: Griffin makes Micheal feel confident while Michael keeps Griffin grounded. If you're curious about m/m there were parts where I covered my mouth to stifle my reaction but I think it's not as hardcore as some of those m/m books floating around.

The Femme
I am so in love with Nora Sutherlin and her childlike playfulness, as Søren puts it, I can't get enough of her. No matter how dire the situation is when Nora's around she manages to make things light, fluffy and funny. When I heard that she's back with Søren, I was disturbed because I know how their relationship is and like most of you, I don't want my heroine bloodied, broken and bruised. Well she got several love pats from The Pope and they did do blood play but TReisz didn't take it too far, again she implied a lot of things but never crossed that line. At least I now have a better understanding of their relationship and it's nothing like The Thorn Birds that much I can say. Theirs is something only the two of them completely understand but I do get why Søren is The Søren. Aside from these we also know more about Nora's backstory, how her relationship with Søren started and evolved, how she got started writing erotica novels and the current state of relationship she has with her Mother. P.S. Nora's mom will surprise you.
"Michael, Eleanor is without a doubt the most beautiful woman who has ever or will ever live. If you could take a nighttime thunderstorm and turn it into a woman, you would have a very good idea what she looks like. And fairly good idea how she behaves as well," - Søren
The Mighty Søren
Before THE ANGEL I was steeling myself not to like Søren aka Marcus Lennox Stearns. He is the epitome of everything I tried to turn a blind eye to as far as the Church and my faith is concerned but the man managed to break my moral compass! When he and Nora spent time apart because of his nomination for the position of Bishop and that pesky reporter, Suzanne, was investigating and seducing him, I felt jealous that Suzanne got Søren's attention and at the same time I don't want any woman getting close to him because of Nora. I want to demonize Søren, make him into a villain and this despicable person who gives the Catholic Church a bad name but no matter how I try I can't condemn the man! I don't know when I became a fan of The Pope's but this is another testament of how gifted a writer TReisz is, she doesn't just shock you, she'll make a disciple out of you. A Domme through and through and I'm doomed for Hell! At least I got these guys to keep me company.
"Jesus H. Christ," Nora groaned. "Why priests can't keep their holy cocks inside their goddamn pants is beyond me."
The Prince
Wesley Railey is back and thanks to Griffin Fiske we know more about the Kentucky native and believe me, he is no ordinary boy from the bluegrass state! Like Nora, I was shocked because Wes is so grounded in The Siren I never in a million years thought Nora's innocent intern's got some secrets of his own. This much I can say based on the blurb of The Prince, Nora and Wes are going to explore and work out whatever it is that they feel for each other and despite Wes' natural vanilla scent, TReisz told me it'll be a shade or more darker than THE ANGEL. Well I'm primed and ready to go so BRING IT, Lady!
