Ghosts harass and annoy Tess to save their souls. Sometimes she helps them. Other times she ignores them. But one ghost will give her no choice. Kipp, a former cop with the Memphis Police Department, will stop at nothing to gain her help, including using his ghostly charms to seduce her.

Tess must help solve the five-year-old cold case of Hannah Reid’s disappearance, because solving the case will save Kipp. But a bigger problem presents itself. Tess is falling in love with a ghost. Now she must decide. Keep Kipp forever, or find the killer.
I have been in a funk lately and my attention span for standard length novels (300 pages up) are short which sucks for a book blogger like with with a TBR list that will probably outlive me. So I turned to Stacey Kennedy's Supernaturally Kissed with the hopes that it will help get me out of this reader burn out.

This 170 paged ghost story is the perfect length for my short attention span and as an added bonus the story is sexy, a little sad and very messed up. First off, Tess Jennings is your understated beautiful heroine "cursed" with having the third eye after a NDE when she was seventeen. Then her path crosses with Kipp McGowan, a former cop who got killed on assignment and is now in need of Tess' gift/curse to help solve a five-year-old case.
"That's why it's impossible to regret all of this," Kipp continued. "Too much good came out of our meeting."
Kipp is a handsome man who has the gift of gab, this ghost can Dirty Talk a storm, like grab-your-battery-operated-friend-and-ride-it-out kind of thing. If I am in need of an over the phone sex therapist, Kipp McGowan is the guy I'd call. I find it a little tragic that he and Tess have to find each other in his current state because I feel that we and this couple are being robbed of cold-shower worthy smexy. Why does it have to be so Ms. Kennedy?!

As for Tess, she's had her share of frogs and just when she finally found a Prince, he turns out to be a ghost! A good looking, sexy as sin ghost that gives her intense and vivid dreams. I prayed hard last night that my slumber will be as steamy as Tess'. At the same time I feel for her too, though Kipp might return her affections there's no telling when he's going to cross over and leave her lovesick and heartbroken.
If you were dreaming, I'd be fucking you
Aside from Kipp, his partner Zack Foster is another eye candy and I half wished that Tess fell in love with him instead. In any case I know that things will only get hotter and Tess' totally messed-up normal will even get deliciously messier.

  3. Oh man, when you were talking about length and how nice a short book can be, I was totally getting you! I've been reading the same book for 2 days and I'm not done yet and I'm getting very impatient! This sounds like a nice short read and yay that it was so good!

    1. It sucks right?! I was like that with Blood Promise (Vampire Academy), it took me two weeks to finish the damn thing! I've been like this for two weeks now and I feel like I'm cheating on my books because I can't give them the attention they need.

  4. This was a great read. I haven't gotten to book two yet, but the blurb sounded good.

    Nice review!

  5. Hahaha I thought at first from the title that the book was called "Supernaturally Kissed a Frostbite" and thought "that sounds...interesting....". As book bloggers I think the reading can get overwhelming at times and you need a quick fix here and there. Sounds like a steamy one!
