Darkest Powers Series by Kelley Armstrong


We won't be a Supernatural themed blog without some Kelley Armstrong. Unfortunately I still have to get me started on her Otherworld Series but for the meantime I'll check this one out.

Darkest Powers and Darkness Rising are two sets of trilogies based on the Edison Group, a team of Supernatural scientists and their subjects. Darkest Powers follows the adventures of Chloe Saunders, a 15yo who is diagnosed to have schizophrenia but is in fact a necromancer, someone who can see and raise the dead.

I think it's time that I read me some good ghost story, it's been a while since I've enjoyed a good campfire tale and based on the reviews that I've read this is a good place to start.

I've started reading The Summoning and so far I'm liking it. The pace is good and Armstrong's descriptions of those ghosts are creepy indeed. I think I can live with Vampires and Weres but ghosts and poltergeists are something else. We all can agree that ghosts are more real than those fangers and crotch-sniffers. Ghosts are THE Paranormal if you ask me, so I'm up for a good scare.

Here's to hoping that this series won't disappoint and the raves I've read are true.
